Subashis Roy's 3 for 34 and Upul Tharanga's 105-ball 77 helped Mohammedan Sporting Club to an eight-wicket win over Abahani Limited in Mirpur. The victory put Mohammedan at the top of the table with ten points, while Abahani slumped to their third loss in six outings.
After being inserted to bat, Abahani were reduced to 15 for 3 in the sixth over. Subashis had Tamim Iqbal caught at slip by Shykat Ali before Liton Das and Avishek Mitra were caught at square-leg and mid-off respectively, both removed by offspinner Habibur Rahman.
Manvinder Bisla added 47 runs for the fourth wicket with Nazmul Hossain Shanto, who top-scored with 42 off 66 balls, an innings that featured five boundaries. He holed out to long-on in the 27th over. Mosaddek Hossain fell soon after as Subashis trapped him with the bouncer. Taskin Ahmed struck an unbeaten 38, lifting Abahani to 183 before they were bowled out in the penultimate over.
Mohammedan were dealt an early blow when Shykat retired hurt with a finger injury in the fifth over, but Tharanga and Ezaz Ahmed added 78 to push Mohammedan close to the target. Ezaz hit three sixes and three fours in his 42. Tharanga was unbeaten on 77 with seven boundaries, as Mohammedan cruised to the target with 37 balls to spare.
Victoria Sporting Club jumped to second position on the points table with a nine-run win against Prime Bank Cricket Club in a rain-affected match at the BKSP-3 ground.
In the chase of 275, Suhrawadi Shuvo struck his maiden List-A hundred to help Victoria to a D/L win. His 118-ball 105 included six fours and two sixes, and was involved in a 155-run, third-wicket stand with Al-Amin, whose unbeaten 90-ball 82 featured six fours and a six.With Victoria requiring 64 off 47 balls, rain forced the game to be called off at 5.00pm.
Prime Bank had posted 274-7 on the back of Mehedi Maruf's 63. Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Enamul Haque took two wickets each.
Fifties from Mohammad Mithun, Mosharraf Hossain and Asif Ahmed powered Legends of Rupganj to a comfortable six-wicket win over Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club in Fatullah.
Chasing 217, Mithun and Mosharraf added 63 runs for the third wicket. Mithun made 51 off 66 balls before Mosharraf, who top-scored with 81, added 96 with Asif for the fourth wicket. Asif was unbeaten on 51 off 59 balls while Mosharraf struck seven fours and three sixes in his 98-ball knock.
Batting first, Doleshwar limped to 216 runs in 48.2 overs. Chamara Silva top-scored with 89 off 76 balls with seven fours and a six. He put on a 67-run, seventh-wicket stand with Sunzamul Islam, who made 25. Left-arm bowler Abu Hider and offspinner Nahidul Islam took two wickets each.
