Sylhet Division upended Dhaka Division with a nine-wicket win in Khulna, picking up their first victory in the competition. It was Dhaka's first defeat after winning the first two matches.
Left-arm spinner Nabil Samad started off with a four-wicket haul that stung Dhaka badly, as they were bowled out for just 100 runs in 39.4 overs of the first innings. Imran Ali took three wickets while Abu Jayed picked up two wickets. Sylhet responded firmly, with Sayem Alam scoring his maiden first-class century. His 133 and half-centuries from elder brother Rajin Saleh and Alok Kapali helped Sylhet to take a 256-run lead.
Dhaka then made 269 in the second innings, with Raqibul Hasan making 54. Jayed and Nasum Ahmed took four wickets each. Sylhet lost one wicket in their chase of 14 runs. Sayem was named Man of the Match for his century.
