Bilawal takes nine in Lahore Shalimar win

Lahore Ravi seamer Bilawal Iqbal finished with a match-haul of 10 wickets, while Abbottabad's fast bowler Aziz-ur-Rehman picked up seven scalps, as the two teams played out a draw at the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium.

Bilawal Iqbal finished with 6 for 109 in the second innings to help set Lahore Ravi a target of 181, but with only few overs remaining in the day, the team could only manage 61 for 1 in 6.4 overs. He had earlier notched four wickets in the first innings as well, but Abbottabad's innings had been propelled by a 117 from Riaz Kail which took them to 398. Lahore Ravi, in reply, managed 433 in their first essay with the bat, thanks to a 102 from the captain Jahangir Mirza and a 95 from the opener Abdul Wahab Dar.

The draw left both teams without a win from their six games this season.

Mohammad Bilawal took nine wickets in the match and Agha Salman scored a century as Lahore Shalimar beat Hyderabad by five wickets in Hyderabad to enter the Super-Eight stage.

Sent in to bat, Hyderabad made 222, with opener Shabih Haider carrying his bat for a 207-ball 88. Bilawal took four wickets, while Waad-ur-Rehman and left-arm spinner Mohammad Irfan took two each.

Lahore Shalimar were 46 for 3 in reply when Agha walked in. He pushed their total to 343, scoring a 242-ball 127 with 16 fours. For Hyderabad, Furqan Azeem and offspinner Nasir Awais took three wickets each.

Trailing by 121 at the start of their second innings, Hyderabad were in danger of an innings defeat at 54 for 5 when captain Faisal Athar walked in. Athar proceeded to score a 134-ball 109 to push his team's total to 199. Bilawal and Mohammad Saeed took five wickets each.

Lahore Shalimar needed 79 to win, and the target proved too small in the end, even though a three-wicket burst from Furqan left them 22 for 4 at one stage.

Left-arm spinner Imad Wasim took career-best match figures of 12 for 102 as Islamabad defeated Multan by 99 runs in Karachi. The Islamabad captain's 53 was also their top score in the first innings.

Multan had already qualified for the Super Eight stage, and Islamabad, courtesy the six points they took from this win, joined them there after moving to third in Group II.

Islamabad batted first and made 237, with five of their batsmen crossing 30 but only Imad getting to 50. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Rameez took five wickets. Multan took a 59-run lead, thanks to Abdul Rehman Muzammil's 60 and captain Kashif Naved's 86. Imad bowled 34.5 overs to finish with figures of 8 for 81.

Ali Sarfraz made 90, and put on 111 for the second wicket, but Islamabad could only make 248 in their second innings, as Rameez took four wickets and offspinner Haziq Habibullah three. It left Multan 190 to get, but they didn't even get close. Only two of their batsmen got into double figures, Mohammad Waris top-scoring with 37, as they slumped to 90 all out. Imad and seamer Shehzad Azam took four wickets each.

Saad Ali's 156 ensured that Karachi Whites hung on for a draw after following on against Faisalabad in Karachi. Faisalabad took just three points from the match, which left them a point short of reaching the Super-Eight stage, while Karachi Whites had already booked their place by topping the Group II table.

Karachi Whites sent Faisalabad in and reduced them to 9 for 4 before Asif Ali and Imran Ahmed stabilised their innings with a 96-run fifth-wicket stand. Asif was out for 41, but Imran carried on to make 154, to steer Faisalabad to a total of 359. For Karachi Whites, left-arm seamer Mir Hamza took his sixth five-wicket haul in just his 11th first-class match.

Karachi Whites' first innings only totaled 191, with Fahim Ashraf taking five wickets. They were 124 for 9 at one stage, before No. 10 Junaid Ilyas and No. 11 Hamza put on 67 for the last wicket.

Following on, Karachi Whites were still 72 short of erasing their 168-run deficit when Saad arrived at the crease. But his 275-ball 156, and scores of 49 and 51 from Amit Ravi and Nadeem Shad respectively, took them into a 251-run lead before they declared at 419 for eight, leaving Faisalabad an improbable chase of 252. The match ended with Faisalabad at 42 for no loss in eight overs.
