Guyana's bowlers set up winning start

A round-up of the action from the first day of play at the Regional Super50 2011-12

Guyana's bowlers set up a comfortable 103-run win against Windward Islands at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana, in the opening round of the Regional Super50.
After being asked to bat, Guyana managed only 192. Six of their top seven batsmen got into double figures: captain Assad Fudadin, Travis Dowlin and Christopher Barnwell all got past 30, but no one could complete half-centuries. Left-arm spinner Garey Mathurin was the wrecker-in-chief of the top order, while quick Nelon Pascal returned to clean up the lower middle order.
Windward Islands were woeful in reply, losing their top five for an aggregate of just seven runs to Guyana's new-ball pair of offspinner Steven Jacobs and fast bowler Paul Wintz. The chase didn't recover from there. Windward Islands were shot out for 72 in the 25th over, after slipping to 29 for 6 and 42 for 8.
The Barbados-Sagicor High Performance Centre match at the Everest Cricket Club Ground in Georgetown was washed out after only 20 overs. The teams share points, getting two apiece.
