This was the perfectly-pitched outswinger. Angling in at off stump, forcing Chandela to play at it, then swings away to draw the outside edge. Captain Fazal pouches it at first slip. Four successive fifty-plus scores and a duck for Chandela. 1/1 26.3 to N Rana, Debutant Thakare has his man now! Rana is caught playing around his front pad and is pinned in front. Short and wide outside off, tries to carve this behind point but plays down the wrong line, takes the outside edge and gobbled up by Wadkar, the keeper. Poor temperament shown by the Delhi captain. Delhi in trouble. 99/4 62.6 to Himmat Singh, cuts him in half, and he's given! Good length outside off and jags back in sharply. Cramps him for room as the ball flies through the gap between bat and pad. Takes the inside edge as it goes through, and sharp catch from Wadkar. They all appeal, and umpire Menon raises his right finger. A great partnership comes to a close. 204/5 100.5 to Vikas Mishra, bowled him. This one has cut back in a mile from outside off. Mishra has paid the price for not moving his feet. Just stuck in the crease and brings the bat down without having any clue whatsoever of where that delivery is heading. Beats the inside-edge and pegs back the off-stump. 290/7 100.6 to NA Saini, this one's even better. Again a shortish delivery fired outside the off-stump. Has the batsman stapled to the crease because of the length and then just cuts in off the seam. Drifts even further late and comfortably beats the inside edge to flatten the stumps. Two in two for Gurbani. 290/8 102.1 to DR Shorey, and he gets it. Gurbani, you beauty! Yet another five-wicket haul for the young sensation. What a season he's having! Now he gets a hat-trick to cap it all off. Another scorching delivery that cuts in from a shortish length. Has the batsman glued to the crease and just hanging back and hoping he can put bat to ball. Cuts in from outside off to hit the back pad and take out the off-stump. 295/9 102.5 to K Khejroliya, and Delhi have folded. This one was a gift to be honest. Khejroliya comes charging down the track. It's a blind charge. Ends up nearly yorking himself. And besides the ball pitched around the leg stump line which means he was tucked up for room. It was well outside his line and could have easily been left alone. Gets an inside for his troubles as the ball crashes into the stumps. Good, solid hand nonetheless. 96/1 33.4 to FY Fazal, oh, dear. Fazal was playing so well and he has thrown it away with a poor shot. Falls for the lure of a fuller wide delivery. Nips away slightly and Fazal leaves a daylight between bat and pad. Good length and seams back in to beat the inside edge and ping the front pad above the knee-roll. Height could have been a problem. It might have bounced over but Satish has to depart. 133/3 73.6 to AA Wakhare, there's the nick. It was just a matter of time. Zippy length ball outside off, Wakhare has a poke at that and it flies off the edge to Pant who takes a dolly. He's done his job of nightwatchman quite effectively though, has weathered the first 35 minutes of play with the senior pro. 237/5 77.5 to W Jaffer, that's a big, big moment in the match and it's Saini who has been rewarded. Jaffer is surprised by how much this delivery comes back in, he just fell over a touch in trying to work this incoming length delivery, was hit below the knee roll and this would've missed leg stump. A touch lucky but Saini deserves that.. 246/6 161.2 to SS Neral, thick outside edge and Neral's party is over. Swishes at this length delivery outside off, looking to steer this behind point but was late on the stroke. Fourth wicket for Saini. 547/8 163.4 to AS Thakare, five wickets for Saini, with the wicket being snapped up in scratchy fashion. Overpitched outside off, a late chop with the bat from Thakare. Jags away significantly with the shine on the other side and finds a thick outside edge that is snaffled by the keeper. 206/4 162.1 to AV Wadkar, skied it for point who gets under it, fumbles, makes it bobble twice, and finally, with support from his face - and this time from the bowler's heel being behind the line - holds on to dismiss Wadkar. Ends up slicing it high and mid-off runs a few steps back to hang on. There were runs on the board. Long-on was back. The ball had dipped already. That's a poor end to an otherwise decent season for Chandela. 32/1 57.3 to Himmat Singh, beauty of a delivery and Himmat has to walk back. This ball drifted in and straightened to square him up and beat the outside edge to hit off stump. What a delivery. Length ball at middle stump, steps out, nowhere near the pitch and swings for midwicket. Loses off stump. 228/7 69.4 to NA Saini, taken at deep midwicket. An innings victory in sight now. This is tossed up at middle stump. He gets down on one knee and swings well, but that climbs on him a touch and he gets a lot of height and barely any distance on it.
