McDonald leads South Australia reply
South Australia 2 for 207 (McDonald 86) trail Queensland 8 for 443 declared (Labuschagne 83, Stevens 158, Hartley 142) by 236 runs
Andrew McDonald guided South Australia in a strong response to Queensland's lofty first innings on day two of the Sheffield Shield match at the Adelaide Oval.
But McDonald and Mark Cosgrove, playing his first Shield match for SA since returning home from Queensland, enjoyed a fruitful opening union of 126 to set down a platform for the Redbacks. McDonald fell short of a hundred, but Callum Ferguson and Tom Cooper both made starts and will hope for more on day three.
