England tour of Sri Lanka, 3rd ODI: Sri Lanka v England at Dambulla, Oct 7, 2007
England won by 2 wickets (with 7 balls remaining) (D/L method)
7 October 2007 - day/night match (50-over match)

Sidebottom to Tharanga, OUT, straight, Tharanga once more plays down the wrong line with not much foot movement, the ball finds a big gap between bat and pad and pins back the off stump

WU Tharanga b Sidebottom 15 (24m 21b 1x4 0x6) SR: 71.42

Sri Lanka 22/1   ST Jayasuriya 4* (14b)   RJ Sidebottom 2.5-0-8-1

Sidebottom to Jayasuriya, OUT, short, Jayasuriya pulls but gets cramped and can't keep it down, Swann sprints in from deep backward square leg and slides into the catch, taking it a couple of inches above the turf

ST Jayasuriya c Swann b Sidebottom 11 (39m 24b 1x4 0x6) SR: 45.83

Sri Lanka 33/2   KC Sangakkara 3* (11b)   RJ Sidebottom 4.2-0-10-2

Broad to Jayawardene, OUT, got him! Terrible shot from Jayawardene. A loosener from Broad, dropping it short and wide but Jayawardene flayed his bat at it without keeping it down, the ball flying straight to Paul Collingwood at point who took it comfortably at face height

DPMD Jayawardene c Collingwood b Broad 2 (15m 8b 0x4 0x6) SR: 25.00

Sri Lanka 37/3   KC Sangakkara 5* (20b)   SCJ Broad 0.1-0-0-1

Broad to Sangakkara, OUT, and he's walked! How extraordinary. Wide of the off stump, Sangakkara cut and missed, the ball flying through to Mustard who didn't appeal. And nor did Broad...but Sangakkara tucked his bat under his arm and marched off. A poor piece of cricket. It was the thinnest of edges, and no England player appealed, yet Sangakkara marched off to cause confused (albeit delighted) expressions from England's fielders

KC Sangakkara c †Mustard b Broad 9 (41m 25b 0x4 0x6) SR: 36.00

Sri Lanka 42/4   LPC Silva 1* (7b)   SCJ Broad 1.1-0-5-2

Swann to Silva, OUT, what a stroke of fortune for Swann, and a neat piece of keeping from Mustard. Silva tried to sweep from outside the off stump, got a bottom edge onto his boot which flew to Mustard's right who stuck out his right paw to take a slick catch

LPC Silva c †Mustard b Swann 11 (53m 29b 0x4 0x6) SR: 37.93

Sri Lanka 85/5   TM Dilshan 26* (29b 2x4)   GP Swann 0.4-0-1-1

Swann to Mubarak, OUT, got him this time! Tossed up by Swann to invite him down the pitch, Mubarak is beaten by the lack of pace and succeeds only in chipping it straight back to the bowler. A soft wicket, but a very clever piece of bowling

J Mubarak c & b Swann 6 (8m 10b 0x4 1x6) SR: 60.00

Sri Lanka 93/6   TM Dilshan 28* (32b 2x4)   GP Swann 1.5-0-8-2

Swann to Maharoof, OUT, another excellent return catch from Swann. Tossed up and Maharoof simply chipped it straight back to Swann who took it an inch or two from the ground

MF Maharoof c & b Swann 7 (14m 13b 0x4 0x6) SR: 53.84

Sri Lanka 106/7   TM Dilshan 33* (39b 2x4)   GP Swann 3.1-0-12-3

Swann to Dilshan, 1 run, OUT, back, waits and cuts the ball oh-so-late ... Dilshan comes back for the second, taking on Bopara's throw from deep point, but the return is fired in at the bowler's end, right to the top of the stumps on the bounce, Swann removes the bails with Vaas short despite a full-length dive

WPUJC Vaas run out 4 (16m 10b 0x4 0x6) SR: 40.00

Sri Lanka 118/8   TM Dilshan 41* (53b 3x4)   GP Swann 5.1-1-17-3

Swann to Dilshan, OUT, and he has his fourth wicket, Dilshan caught in two minds, and he scoops a half volley gently to Collingwood at midwicket

TM Dilshan c Collingwood b Swann 70 (117m 84b 6x4 0x6) SR: 83.33

Sri Lanka 164/9   CRD Fernando 11* (17b)   GP Swann 9.1-1-34-4

Sidebottom to Fernando, OUT, yup ... Fernando swings at a shortish ball, had he middled it, it would have headed over midwicket ... he didn't and it looped softly off a top edge to Collingwood at point

CRD Fernando c Collingwood b Sidebottom 11 (39m 18b 0x4 0x6) SR: 61.11

Sri Lanka 164/10   SL Malinga 0* (5b)   RJ Sidebottom 8.1-1-19-3
