48.2 to TAM Siriwardana, Rizwan, you little beauty! He is so good to watch in the field. Kisses the ball before tossing it away. Another skier, but this time the fielder has less distance to cover. I think he was in the covers, raced in and called for it. Anyway the only other man who could have caught it was Rahat, who you don't want under a tough catch. Rizwan has his eyes all the way on it, dives and holds on this time. 244/7
48.5 to S Prasanna, ah, he's slapped it away to extra cover. Simple dismissal. Enough room for him to swat it away, as he was trying to do. But the placement eludes him. 245/8

16.3 to HDRL Thirimanne, he's been sucked into the drive and the edge is safely taken. Anwar claps in glee and then morphs into an airplane. Hands spread out, mouth wide open in a yell. Good ball, better celebrations. Good length ball skirting outside off, Thirimanne is tempted into a loose shot. Looked so good only for a soft dismissal. Pakistan are ringing in the changes, and they're working. 82/2

8.3 to MDKJ Perera, Hafeez gets another left-hand batsman. Kusal left contemplating another start not converted. Pushed through outside off, non-turning ball. Kusal looks to push, or perhaps punch it through the covers. All he manages a thick edge to first slip. Sharp take from Rizwan just below chest height. Kusal did not move his feet and pays the price. 44/1
23.4 to WU Tharanga, too good. He is just too good against the left-handers. Angles the good length ball in to force a shot. Tharanga flails at it after lunging outside his crease. The turn is too much, the outside edge is comprehensively beaten. Sarfraz takes care of the rest. Beaten in flight.. 111/3
26.1 to TM Dilshan, plays back to one that he should have been forward to. That's a timely strike for Pakistan and it's from their best bowler on show so far. Beautiful control from Hafeez. Doesn't quite loop this one up, which was why Dilshan jumps back in his crease to cut. Suddenly realises the shot is nowhere near on. Tries to protect his off stump. Fails. 118/4
42.6 to NLTC Perera, ends his spell with a wicket. And that's his best figures in ODIs. Might need to get a gift for Rizwan for this. Beautiful low catch by him at first slip. Especially seeing as the batsman was backing away for a cut. So even if it was an edge, it would have come to him quite quickly. Nice, tight bowling from Hafeez. Good length on middle from around the wicket. Thisara was looking to slice it to third man and get off strike. But the ball went a bit too fine. 204/6

41.5 to AD Mathews, is that a top edge? Yep. Looks for the big hit against the turn and is beaten in the flight. Mathews can't quite get as close to the ball as he wanted to with the slog sweep. That means the ball is able to spin just enough that he has to drag it away from outside off into the leg side. Azam at long-on is safe as houses. 200/5

14.1 to Ahmed Shehzad, he's fished outside off and has been caught! Sri Lanka created the pressure. They stopped the singles. They got a few balls to bounce alarmingly. Shehzad weathered through all of them and will be filthy with himself at being sucked into playing so far away from his body. Didn't move across, flashed at it and feathers a simple edge to the keeper. 65/2
803214.00293000
35.5 to Mohammad Hafeez, pops up a return catch! Jumps down the track for no good reason, Thisara bowls it short and quick on middle. Cramps the batsman up. Goes for a panicked pull, gets it on the splice and gives a simple catch to Thisara. But he's done his work. Gets a hug from his captain, a pat on the back from his coach. Good innings. 198/4

9.2 to Azhar Ali, done him in! Chandimal and Mathews combine to bring Sri Lanka back again. It was wide, it was tempting Azhar to go for the booming drive through cover. In all honesty, the shot was on. But on a pitch where the bounce isn't true, there's always a risk involved with driving on the up. Azhar gets an under edge and Chandimal takes an absolute stunner. Stayed low, moved to his right along with the ball and snapped it up. 47/1

25.2 to Babar Azam, caught in front! Azam was walking off, but he is called back by his partner. Has a little chat with Hafeez and then makes the decision himself that he doesn't want to review. Azam goes for the sweep, but hasn't put that front leg too far across. Misses the ball hitting across the line and is struck in line with off stump, I think. 123/3
