Profile

Mitchell Starc is one of the many exciting young fast bowlers coming out of New South Wales. A tall left-armer, he impressed with his speed and bounce during various appearances in 2009-10, and gained a spot at the Centre of Excellence in the off-season. In eight Sheffield Shield games he captured 21 wickets, including a best of 5 for 74 against Queensland, and also chipped in with a half-century. He caused a few problems in the limited-overs games as well, turning him into one to watch closely.
