Sharma to Vandort, OUT, And the first wicket is down. Ishant dug it short of length and it kicked up outside off even as it moved away from Vandort who chased it, bat away from the body. Edge and gone. Kartik did well to move to his left to grab it. . Movement and bounce. Enter Sanga

MG Vandort c †Karthik b Sharma 3 (18m 13b 0x4 0x6) SR: 23.07

Sri Lanka 7/1   SM Warnapura 4* (11b 1x4)   I Sharma 2-1-2-1

Khan to Sangakkara, OUT, Zak breaks through. Dravid takes a neat low catch at first slip. Done in by the leg cutter. It moved in, landed on a length around middle and cut away towards off. Sangakkara tried to push his bat down the line and got a thick edge and it flew low and to the front of Rahul who got his palm under the ball to take a sharp catch.

KC Sangakkara c Dravid b Khan 12 (47m 21b 1x4 0x6) SR: 57.14

Sri Lanka 57/2   SM Warnapura 38* (47b 6x4)   Z Khan 7-0-33-1

60.5

Harbhajan Singh to Warnapura, OUT, Gone this time! Done in by the flight, turn and the bounce. It drifted in from round the stumps, landed around off and turned away. Warnapura stabbed it to Dravid at slip. He didn't quite get his front foot well forward, just a half-step and that did him in

SM Warnapura c Dravid b Harbhajan Singh 115 (268m 202b 14x4 0x6) SR: 56.93

Sri Lanka 212/3   DPMD Jayawardene 68* (141b 7x4 1x6)   Harbhajan Singh 8.5-1-36-1

102.2

Sharma to DPMD Jayawardene, OUT, done in by a peach of a delivery that left him late. And Karthik has taken a catch! And he has a laugh about it. It came in the air, landed on a length around middle and off and shaped away late, Mahela did what he had to do; put his bat out to defend but it curved away and took a bit of outside edge. Superb innings, though. Yet another big century on his favorite piece of turf.

DPMD Jayawardene c †Karthik b Sharma 136 (375m 259b 10x4 1x6) SR: 52.50

Sri Lanka 360/4   TT Samaraweera 69* (136b 9x4)   I Sharma 21.2-2-78-2

129.2

Khan to Samaraweera, OUT, caught at gully. Short of length and outside the off stump, Samaraweera tried to guide it to third man but flashed it straight to Laxman who held on. Samaraweera doesn't usually cut hard; he tries to guide it in the gaps but this time failed to beat the man. Good innings, though. He did make batting look pretty easy out there. And for Laxman it was his 99th Test catch

TT Samaraweera c Laxman b Khan 127 (292m 224b 18x4 0x6) SR: 56.69

Sri Lanka 454/5   TM Dilshan 36* (74b 3x4)   Z Khan 31.2-2-124-2

151.6

Harbhajan Singh to HAPW Jayawardene, OUT, The itch to sweep does him in. He tried unsuccessfully a couple of times before and this time top edges to Ishant, running in from long leg.

HAPW Jayawardene c Sharma b Harbhajan Singh 30 (95m 70b 1x4 0x6) SR: 42.85

Sri Lanka 545/6   TM Dilshan 96* (140b 9x4 1x6)   Harbhajan Singh 38-2-122-2
