83.2 to AB de Villiers, has he got him? He has, according to the umpire. AB de Villiers reviews straight away. A loopy inswinger that AB has not picked at all. He's looking to belt this on the up through cover with a massive gap between bat and pad. It's a very faint edge if there is indeed one there...and there is! Sayers' first Test wicket is AB de Villiers. That's an indipper, seam pointing inwards that zips off a length and narrowly misses off stump on it's way to the keeper. The snicko shows a faint disturbance as it passes the bat. 299/5
83.4 to K Rabada, got him! Chips it straight to mid-off. Sayers mayhem! Stunning seam presentation again. Length ball shaping in at off stump. He isn't to the pitch and prods at it with hard hands. Mid-off leaps to his left and completes a simply take. 299/6
28.558352.871348010
44.4 to HM Amla, 140kph, outswing, edge and a sensational flying catch by Handscomb at second slip. Length ball swings away late as Amla looks to crash through the line on the up. No feet from him. It's a thick edge and he looks like he might get away with it, but Handscomb takes a quick step to his right and leaps to take it two-handed, followed by a tumble. 142/2
70.5 to AK Markram, the second time he has got out like that after a sensational hundred in the series! Back of a length outside off, Markram goes back, and carves a dab to gully. Not quite in control of that shot. It was a back of a length, moving away, and he chose to dab it fine. He has been scoring with that shot right through the series, a good low catch from gully.. 247/3
70.6 to F du Plessis, he leaves an inducker and Faf leaves! Struck outside off, and the umpire Llong's decision comes even before the appeal. It was full and swinging back in prodigiously. Faf left, then saw that movement, tried to bring his bat down but his body twirled into a half-duck instead, that's how his instinct took over. He chats with AB, but no review. That looked out.. 247/4
136.4 to KA Maharaj, oh, dear. Maharaj can give you a lot of nerves especially if he's batting with a partner in the 90s. This is a wide slash outside off, can't get any control and gets a big nick to the keeper. He's done his job though, excellent knock.. 488/9
136.5 to M Morkel, Oh, dear. Anticlimax! Temba can't get a century. You have to feel for him as he looks up and walks off. This was a shortish delivery angling in from around the stumps, it's the uncomfortable length for Morne who fends with an angled bat, superbly taken diving across to the right at second slip. That's five wickets for Cummins. He'll be on a hat-trick when he comes out to bowl in the second innings . 488/10
40318234.5514818400
17.6 to D Elgar, and Australia have their first strike! Lyon gets Elgar again! Elgar comes charging down, looking to work the ball away through mid-on, but like in the previous over, the ball spins, takes the leading edge and lobs towards Sayers. He had initially misjudged the ball, but reacted well, went back and took an overhead catch.. 53/1
109.6 to Q de Kock, poor shot against the turn and it's a simple one for mid-on. Short of a length at off and spinning and bouncing away from him outside off. More bounce than the one he whipped through midwicket off the back foot not so long ago. This time he's cramped on the same shot and the top edge lobs harmlessly for the fielder. 384/7
121.5 to VD Philander, steps out and hoicks this straight down the throat of Khawaja at deep midwicket. Didn't get to the pitch of the ball and ended up dragging it from outside off. Ended up hitting it a lot squarer.. 412/8

10.6 to MT Renshaw, got him! Some loose batting from Australia over the last 20 minutes. This is a length ball wide outside off. Not Philander's best. But Renshaw chases it well away from the body to try and thump it on the up through cover. A poor shot and it's simple catch. 34/2
12.1 to PSP Handscomb, drags it on! Oh what a disastrous start this is turning out to be. Handscombe goes the Du Plessis way - shouldering arms without any surety. This is an outswinger on a good length outside off. He gets close to the line with a shuffle but decides to leave late. Too late though, because the ball skids on to take the inside edge and clatter into the stumps. 38/3
29.6 to UT Khawaja, this time, he has been snuffed out down leg. I said this earlier that he was vulnerable to this against Morkel. But Philander has done the trick. Length on leg stump, this comes back in just a touch. Khawaja tickles it off the phase and de Kock takes an outstanding catch down leg. He may have been blinded because he was standing up to the stumps but anticipated well. Khawaja did all the hard work but will be very disappointed to have thrown it away.. 90/4
1975332.78948001
3.2 to JA Burns, gobbled up by Faf diving to his left from second slip. Burns showed signs of nervousness through his prodding outside off in this short innings. It's his downfall in the end. Rooted to the crease as he chases this outswinger in the corridor with his hands, away from the body. Healthy edge that's headed for first slip but has a slight dip on it which makes Faf move quickly to his left and take it with a reverse cup. 10/1
65.5 to NM Lyon, chipped to mid-off. Simple cricket. Rabada tells Lyon to try and do it again - floats it up full outside off. Lyon says alright and takes him on. Finds Elgar with a feeble lob. 206/8
69.6 to TD Paine, get out of here Dean Elgar! What a catch! Sensational. Sprints back some ten yards from mid-off, keeps the ball in his sight while looking over his shoulder, and then puts in a full-length dive after following the swerve to his right. Unbelievable stuff. Paine stepped out and looks to slap this over midwicket. It was a short ball and he ended up slicing it. Elgar had so much to do there and he did it all perfectly. Just stunning.. 221/10
12.233412.75625002
33.6 to MR Marsh, chopped on! That's not the kind of stroke you want to play 15 minutes away from stumps. Mitch Marsh goes for an expansive drive, bat comes down at an angle and flies off the inside edge to hit off stump.. 96/5
2039234.608110300
34.3 to SE Marsh, plays for the turn, but this one slides in, goes straight on and Marsh's daft forward push results in a nick to first slip. It keeps going from bad to worse for Australia.. 96/6
62.1 to PJ Cummins, is that gone? Gould says not out and du Plessis almost instantly reviews. A loopy slider on leg stump, and Cummins gets down for a paddle. The ball lobs towards the backward short leg region where it's caught by slip moving across. He's actually not got any glove or bat on it, so it comes down to the lbw now. Pitches in line and hits him in front of middle. But the bounce may mean height could save him here. We wait for ball-tracking. Hitting middle of middle and off. Big partnership broken, and the Wanderers crowd finds its voice again. Big partnership broken, but remember that Australia aren't even close to avoiding follow-on yet. 195/7
66.6 to CJ Sayers, got him at backward point. Another easy catch offered, gratefully taken. Short ball wide outside off, but with a hint of extra bounce on this pitch. Means Sayers gets a thick outside edge as he looks to cut. Amla doesn't have to move. Takes it comfortably. 207/9

31.3 to HM Amla, turn and bounce does Amla in. A length ball that spins in and bounces considerably. Amla tries to shuffle across and tuck it away but inside-edges it to the thigh pad before it lobs towards Mitchell Marsh at backward square leg. 79/2
89.5 to D Elgar, top edge and it's taken by Shaun Marsh running back from extra cover. Lyon finally manages to find an edge from Elgar, and it takes an attempted slog sweep. Length ball spinning away from off and he's not close to the pitch of this as he plays the shot. Marsh and mid-off have a decision to make, but it's all handled nicely in the end. 266/5
1855843.22847100
18.1 to AK Markram, Cummins finds the outside edge, and it's of the in-form batsman. A length ball, probing him in the channel outside off. Markram pushes forward and gets an outside edge that's taken at second slip by Handscomb. 54/1
34.2 to AB de Villiers, bounce again accounts for another batsman. Did that kick up off one of the cracks? It was a length ball but gets up like a bouncer. De Villiers is already getting in line to punch that ball and is suddenly taken aback. Does all he can to try and get out of the way but the ball nips back in to find the outside edge of the high part of the bat. Paine snaffles the catch. 94/3
88.4 to F du Plessis, good catch. Another top one from Handscomb at second slip. After a long time, Faf goes forward at a length ball and gets exactly what he's been fearing - one that climbs. Gets it off the shoulder and it lobs to Handscomb's right. He leaps two-handed to snap it up. A solid, brave knock from Faf after averaging less than 10 in the series coming into this Test. 264/4
90.5 to Q de Kock, that's plumb. But de Kock reviews straightaway. Pushed across on a fullish length around off and then straightening to hit him in front of middle. No inside edge on the attempted flick and taking out the top of middle. 273/6

30.1 to SE Marsh, got him first ball! If that's not lbw, then he's caught in the slips...yep, caught at gully. An inside edge onto pad as Marsh looks to defend on the front foot. It's hard to say if that's an lbw appeal because Philander runs straight down the pitch in celebration even before the catch is taken. The perfect inswinger from him, good length, nipping in from off to middle and he catches Marsh halfway through his stride. Bavuma takes a simple lob with no fuss. 88/4
30.4 to MR Marsh, no Marsh runs today, says Philander! That's his 200th Test wicket too. Oh what a start to the day. Length ball just outside off, makes him nudge at it because it's oh-so-close. It's a fitting way for Philander to reach a milestone. Marsh goes with hard hands and tickles it for QDK. 88/5
34.4 to PSP Handscomb, drags it on while trying to leave. Repeat performance. Same bowler, same line, same intent, same result. Outswing just outside off and he can't get the bat out of the way quickly enough. That's his 50th wicket against Australia. 95/6
38.5 to TD Paine, gets him! Three length balls in the corridor of different flavour. That's the genius of this man. Draws an edge off each of them and on this occasion, Paine can only manage to guide this to the keeper. Drawn forward outside off and he can't defend this rising ball. 99/7
40.1 to PJ Cummins, shoulders arms, lose off stump. Very late inswing from a length outside off Cummins expects it go away and has the off stump exposed as he tries to leave. Tonk. Five-wicket-haul. 100/8
40.2 to CJ Sayers, taken at third slip! Oh man. Another bowler with the prospect of a hat-trick. Syaers chases a full and wide outswinger and gets a thick edge. Straight to Elgar at third slip. 100/9
1324713.61587001
17.2 to UT Khawaja, he's been given lbw from well outside off. Nigel Llong doesn't think a shot is offered. Khawaja has reviewed. This looks very out it there's evidence that he hasn't offered a shot...it's a length ball keeping low and headed for off stump. He shuffles too much and is caught on the move. No shot offered, it appears...decision upheld. Khawaja says he offered a shot there, he's not happy with the decision. His bat is behind his right thigh though as the ball hits him below the knee on the left leg. It's hard to conclude from the footage that a shot was offered, there's some distance between the line of the ball and the bat. That ball is spinning in and hitting off stump. 34/2
10.452822.62534001
12.4 to MT Renshaw, tat's plumb. Wicket for Morkel in his final innings. And the glee on his face tells how much this means to him. And it's a lovely length. Fullish and curving in. Renshaw misread the angle and gets his stride a little too across. Ends up getting hit below the knee-roll and no doubt on anyone's mind that that would have gone on to hit the stumps. 21/1
24.1 to JA Burns, Morkel strikes again. And it's of the well-settled Burns. He's having a pretty delightful final innings here, is Morkel. This one's full and curves in and dips real late to leave Burns making no contact as he tries to clip it away. Plumb in front of middle and leg. Burns consults his partner but rightly decides to walk away without reviewing. 68/3
