Khan to Smith, no run, Fab delivery this. It lands on a length around off, Smith leans forward to get close to the line but the ball curves away at the last instant and moves past the edge

Khan to Smith, no run, a touch closer to the off and Smith gets across quickly this time to defend to covers

Khan to Smith, 1 run, Zaheer goes for the magic ball.. the one that swings from the leg and middle line but of course more often than not they don't. Smith works this one through midwicket

Sreesanth to Smith, 1 run, the ball curves in from the middle towards the leg and middle line, moves past the attempted flick to the square-leg and runs off the pad ... inside edge on to the pad

South Africa 17/0   GC Smith 6* (9b)

Khan to Smith, no run, moves in with the angle, Smith plays his most confident forward defensive push of the morning. He was right behind it and met it flush in the middle ..

Khan to Smith, no run, lands outside off and moves further away; easy decision for Smith to let Dhoni come into play

Khan to Smith, OUT, Trapped! Zaheer nails Smith again. It was the length delivery that moved in towards the off stump. Smith was caught at the crease and stumbled out in the end. He was searching for the delivery there, unsure whether it was coming in or going out, and stabbed well outside the line. The ball rushed through the bat and pad gap and struck the back pad around the off stump. The only question was whether it struck him marginally outside off. Will confirm post replays. But that looked out. The first one came in and was met with a perfect defensive push. The second one went out and this one came back in.
Replays in. The ball hit him smack on the off-stump line. Dead plumb!
