  • Umpires Steve Bucknor and B Morgan were officiating in their 75th and 12th match respectively. Bucknor became fifth umpire to officiate in 75 matches after England's David Shepherd (92), Australia's Steve Randell (88), New Zealand's Steve Dunne (88) and Australia's Tony Crafter (83).
  • Wasim Akram was playing his 300th match. He became second player after India's Mohammad Azharuddin (331) to do so. Azharuddin had reached this milestone against Australia at Dhaka on 28-10-1998.
  • Irfan Fazil became 133rd player to appear in ODIs for Pakistan.
  • Irfan's figures (6-0-46-0 @ RPO 7.66) were the most expensive by a Pakistani debutant in six-overs spell. This obliterated Arshad Khan's figures of 6-0-43-0 (RPO 7.16) against Zimbabwe at Sharjah on 01-02-1993.
  • Inzamam-ul-Haq scored his 50th fifty (excluding hundreds) in his 218th match. He became fifth batsman in ODI history to do so. The details:

  • Inzamam-ul-Haq has now scored 341 runs from seven match against West Indies in West Indies - most for Pakistan. He just managed to surpass Javed Miandad's aggregate of 340 runs from 10 matches
  • The partnership of 123 runs between Inzamam-ul-Haq and Yousuf Youhana was 11th century partnership for the fourth wicket in which Inzamam-ul-Haq was involved. Now only Sri Lanka's Arjuna Ranatunga has featured in more century partnerships for fourth wicket- 13. Inzamam went past fellow Pakistani Salim Malik and Australia's Steve Waugh's tally of 10 century partnerships. Just for the record, West Indian Desmond Haynes holds the record of appearing in most century partnerships for any wicket in ODIs- 26 for first wicket.
  • Inzamam-ul-Haq was getting run-out for the seventh time in his career against West Indies. He thus equalled fellow team mate Wasim Akram's record of most such dismissals against West Indies. Inzamam nended only 32 matches as against Akram's 60 matches to equal his tally. Incidentally Australia's Allan Border has been dismissed on most occasion in this fashion against West Indies - nine times in 61 matches.
  • The victory was West Indies fourth in as many matches. The last time West Indies won four consecutive matches was way back in 1998. In fact West Indies had then won six matches at a trot.
  • Reon King won his maiden Man of the Match award in his 35th match.
