  • Umpires VK Ramasamy and SK Bansal officiated in their 42nd and 29th match respectively.
  • Nicky Boje made his first fifty in ODIs. His previous highest was unbeaten 35 also against Pakistan at Sharjah on24-03-2000. Interestingly on that occasion too, Boje's innings proved the turning point of the match paving the way for a South African victory.
  • Razzaq's figures of 7-0-54-2 (@ 7.71) is the least economical of his career in 64 matches in a match in which he bowled atleast seven overs. His previous worst figures being 7-0-45-2 against New Zealand at Mohali on 09-05-1997 during the Independence Cup.
  • Ijaz Ahmed was out LBW for the 23rd time in his career. Now only Roshan Mahanama (34), Javed Miandad (29) and Desmond Haynes (25) have been dismissed in this fashion on more occasions than Ijaz.
