Pakistan in South Africa Test Series - 3rd Test

South Africa v Pakistan

South Africa won by an innings and 18 runs

Overs 1-50  | Overs 51-100  | Overs 101-150

The players are out. Shaun Pollock says this will be a two-paced surface. There are some bare patches.

1.45pm: Fifteen minutes till the start. The team selection has prompted many comments. Just to remind you that Gul isn't playing because he isn't feeling well. Fever and soar throat, he says.

Richard: "Go Kyle Abbott, the whole of Empangeni and Zululand is a buzz at the news of your Test Debut!! So chuffed!! You deserve it!!"

Mohsin khan: "Great to see ehsan adil and Rahat Ali in the team. Also imran farhat. He is fresh off a triple century in domestic season. Guy to look for today is ehsan adil. He is tall fast bowler more than 6ft.'" Nothing to top Mohammad Irfan though, literally.

Toss, 10am: Graeme Smith has won the toss and South Africa will bat first. We feel the pitch will take a bit of turn as the game goes on", says Smith. Kallis is out with a calf injury, during an optional practice session (!). Abbot makes his debut.

Misbah: "We were looking to bowl first anyway." Three changes to the side. Nasir Jamshed, Umar Gul and Tanvir Ahmed are not playing. Imran Farhat, Ehsan Adil and Rahat Ali are playing.

So one debut on either side. Ehsan Adil, the right-arm seamer, will play his first Test, as will Kyle Abbott. Umar Gul isn't feeling well. And of course, Kleinveldt comes in for Morkel.

Firdose informs me that Kyle Abbott is the first Dolphins player to play (excluding Imran Tahir who is a foreigner) since Imraan Khan in 2009.

Vinayak-Nadkarni: "Oh Pak! What have you done? Being an Indian, inspite of Ind-Aus series, I was looking forward for this match. Still no Abdur rehman? And come on, don't you think Nasir Jamshed needed a longer rope? And lastly, better Umar gul be injured else, I am switching tabs."

Javed: "What rubbish selection by pakistan. Why keep persisting with Imran Farhat?? Bring young blood in if this is learning series, where is Junaid khan?? Why rahat again??? Come on!" Junaid probably hasn't recovered from his injury. Otherwise he would have walked in.

9.45am: Welcome everyone to our continuing coverage of this Test series. It's the start of the third Test at Centurion. It's sunny out there.

The first bit of news we have today is that Jacques Kallis is injured and Kyle Abbot will make his debut. Not sure yet what the injury is. Read about it on Twitter. Will keep you updated. The toss will be on shortly.

I'm sure a lot of you will be waiting to know what changes Pakistan have made. Misbah will say so at the toss soon.

UAE on the cards this year and no Botha to select Tahir must still be in their thinking (despite the Oz horror show)". Two SA spinners at Centurion?

12.30pm: This partnership is looking dangerous, with 66 runs coming at a good clip. Not too bad a session for Pakistan, during which they picked up the openers. Adil was impressive in his first few overs, picking up a wicket off his third ball. Irfan's steep bounce didn't make life too easy for Amla in particular. We might see more of Ajmal after lunch. Probably more fielders around the bat. Join us at 1.10pm.
