David Terbrugge, the Gauteng fast bowler, has been suspended for the final of the Standard Bank Cup. This announcement came following a hearing before Michael Kuper, adjudicating officer for the South African board.
Terbrugge was found guilty of crossing clauses 1.4 and 1.5 during the semi-final between Gauteng and Northerns at the Wanderers last week after he used abusive language during the match. The suspension is with immediate effect and therefore he will miss the Standard Bank Cup Final, between Gauteng and Easterns, at The Wanderers on February 29.
