KwaZulu-Natal 300 for 7 dec and 83 for 3 beat Easterns 152 and 230 by 7 wickets
Scorecard

Easterns made KwaZulu-Natal sweat in early morning at Benoni to score the required 63 runs on the last day of play. Losing three quick wickets in two overs it was left to their captain and opener Rivash Gobind, who scored 33 not out, and Wayne Madsen, who made 31 not out, to steer Natal home by seven wickets. Shiraaz Abrahams put the fright into Natal, ending with 2 for 15. Renato Almeida, maybe in line for a future acting career, took the other wicket to fall.

The two teams will face each other again in a one-day fixture at the same venue.
