It took the Eagles just 27 balls to wrap up the Titans innings at the start of day three of the SuperSport Series match at Goodyear Park, Bloemfontein and win by an innings and four runs.

The Titans started the day on 110 for six, just 13 runs short of making the Eagles bat again, but man-of-the-match Johannes van der Wath, after scoring 100 in the Eagles innings, struck twice to dismiss Alfonso Thomas and Dale Steyn to finish with 5 for 30 in 12 overs. The wrapping up was left to Ryan McLaren as he cleaned up the tail to finish with the impressive figures of 4 for 17 in 11.4 overs.

From the moment the Eagles won the toss and sent the Titans in the game was almost over. Two dismal batting performances by the Titans handed the game to the Eagles on a pitch that showed a lot less demons than the scorecard suggests.

Van der Wath's magnificent performance with the ball and the bat would once again have raised a few national selectors' eyebrows.

The Lions completely outplayed the Dolphins at the Wanderers in Johannesburg to win by an impressive innings and 130 runs.

Having been bowled out in their first innings for 182 with Lance Klusener top scoring with 44 and Andrew Hall falling one wicket short of a career best by taking 5 for 31 the Dolphins fared just as badly in their follow innings.

Imraan Khan (53) and Ashraf Mall (56) did put up some token resistance but once they were dismissed the wickets tumbled leaving the log leaders humbled as they crashed to 187 all out. Garnett Kruger and Goolam Bhayat picked up three wickets apiece.

Western Province Boland 482 and 14 for 0 beat Warriors 251 (Bruyns 110, Willoughby 5-84) and 250 (Pope 109, Kleinveldt 3-58, Adams 3-61) by ten wickets

Western Province Boland made almost certain of a home final as they outplayed the Warriors at Mercedes Park in East London to win by 10 wickets.

A Mark Bruyns hundred in the Warriors first innings failed to help beat the follow-on as Charl Willoughby cleaned up the tail with 5 for 84 to leave the Warriors all out for 251.

The follow-on innings started badly but a Steven Pope hundred saved the innings defeat as they were bowled out for 242 leaving Western Province Boland the simple task of scoring 12 for the win and a jump to the top of the table. Rory Kleinveldt and Paul Adams the wicket takers with three each.
