Klusener powers the Dolphins
Lance Klusener clobbered an aggressive hundred for the Dolphins to take them to 512 for 7 declared on the second day of their match against the Warriors at East London. Kyle Smit, playing in his eighth first-class match, made 144. The Dolphins then plucked out three of the Warriors' top order, to leave them trailing by a colossal 428 runs.
On a rain-affected day at Benoni, the Titans added a further 82 runs after Rory Kleinveldt had removed key batsman Martin van Jaarsveld for a patient 59. Zander de Bruyn made 60 and Goolam Bodi is unbeaten on 22. They trail Cape Cobras by 26 runs with six first-innings wickets in hand.
After bowling out the Eagles for 341, the Lions reached 251 for 4 with Justin Ontong, the Test batsman, not out on 73. Alviro Petersen fell four short of his eighth first-class hundred after crashing 12 fours and two sixes; Nicky Boje did his chances of a recall to the Test side no harm by taking 3 for 74. The Lions trail by 90 runs going into the third day.
