Jacques Kallis, the South African allrounder, has asked former England coach Duncan Fletcher to help him end his batting slump. Kallis had a forgettable tour of England earlier this year, averaging 14.85 in the Tests - his lowest in a series in eleven years.
"I think fatigue contributed a lot to the way I played in England so I called Duncan because I believe he is one of the best batting coaches in the world," Kallis told the Afrikaans-language newspaper Sondag.
Kallis' struggles continued in the domestic Supersport Series earlier this week, when he scored only 29 in the Warriors' 196-run defeat to the Titans but his agent Dave Rundle was confident Kallis would soon be back among the runs. "Duncan found a very big technical fault in the way Jacques is playing and I believe we will see a big difference this season."
South Africa host Kenya for two one-dayers and a Twenty20 starting later this month and a home series against Bangladesh in November before they play Australia home and away.
