Prince reprimanded for code breach
South Africa's vice-captain, Ashwell Prince, has admitted guilt and apologised for his behaviour after breaching Cricket South Africa's code of conduct while playing for the Warriors against the Dolphins in Durban last week.
Prince was reported by the on-field umpires Murray Brown and Zed Ndamane for conduct that was "unbecoming or detrimental … which could bring them, the board or the game of cricket into disrepute."
He was severely reprimanded by CSA Disciplinary Commissioner, Adv. Michael Kuper, SC, in absentia in Johannesburg on Tuesday, but his previous clean playing record was taken into account when the verdict was handed down.
