  • Overs 1-50
  • Overs 51-100
  • Overs 101-150

Mithun to Dilshan, OUT, Mithun has struck! Dilshan is gone! Very well-directed bouncer, angling in from off to leg, Dilshan is hurried into the pull and can only get some glove through to Dhoni. Lots of effort put into the ball, and as it happens so often, a wicket immediately after drinks. First Test wicket for Mithun and he deserved it. He's bowled exceptionally well to Dilshan all morning.

TM Dilshan c †Dhoni b Mithun 25 (52m 24b 6x4 0x6) SR: 104.16

Sri Lanka 55/1   NT Paranavitana 24* (39b 5x4)   A Mithun 4.1-1-6-1

Sehwag to Sangakkara, OUT, Sehwag's golden arm sends back Sangakkara with a shocker of a delivery! Short and asking to be deposited well beyond midwicket, Sanga picked out Sachin Tendulkar some 15 yards in front of the boundary and he made no mistake.

KC Sangakkara c Tendulkar b Sehwag 103 (198m 145b 12x4 0x6) SR: 71.03

Sri Lanka 236/2   NT Paranavitana 100* (202b 11x4)   V Sehwag 6.1-0-19-1

Sharma to Paranavitana, OUT, jaffa from Ishant and he's sent Paranavitana back. Lovely ball after the previous one, this one angled away just a touch from back of a length. Paranavitana poked at it uncertainly off the backfoot and got a healthy edge, with Dhoni having to dive across to take the catch. After one and a half days of waiting, Paranavitana will be disappointed he could only add one run to his score.

NT Paranavitana c †Dhoni b Sharma 111 (289m 233b 12x4 0x6) SR: 47.63

Sri Lanka 259/3   DPMD Jayawardene 10* (18b 1x4)   I Sharma 14.2-3-79-1

Mithun to Samaraweera, OUT, he's nailed him this time! No need for a fielder if you can do it yourself eh Mithun! It's again that ball of his, which slants in late from outside off. He had Dilshan in trouble with it on day one, and now he's got Samaraweera. It may have hit him marginally outside off, and Hawkeye says it would have clipped the skin off the top of middle stump.

TT Samaraweera lbw b Mithun 0 (7m 7b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Sri Lanka 260/4   DPMD Jayawardene 11* (19b 1x4)   A Mithun 14.4-2-45-2

Sharma to DPMD Jayawardene, OUT, this time Harper has sent him on his way! Ishant pegs Mahela back again with one of those in-duckers, it rears nastily from off and middle towards leg stump. Mahela misses the attempted flick and is hit in front of middle and leg, a tad high. He was well back, and hawkeye says it would have his the top of leg. Ishant has his reward, this is a wonderful spell ladies and gentlemen.

DPMD Jayawardene lbw b Sharma 48 (123m 78b 6x4 0x6) SR: 61.53

Sri Lanka 322/5   AD Mathews 24* (44b 3x4)   I Sharma 20.5-5-104-2

Sharma to Mathews, OUT, Ishant nips out one more! Mathews is gone, after exhibiting great restraint in the last couple of overs, this time he hangs his bat at one outside off. It flies off the outside edge to the right of VVS Laxman at second slip, who tumbled to his right and takes a smart catch. Ishant! What a spell! Respect!

AD Mathews c Laxman b Sharma 41 (101m 58b 6x4 0x6) SR: 70.68

Sri Lanka 344/6   HAPW Jayawardene 3* (12b)   I Sharma 23-5-117-3

Mithun to HAPW Jayawardene, OUT, Mithun strikes, that's the end of Prasanna, he was looking to play it to the leg side after moving across the stumps, he misses and his pad gets in the way of a ball that was going on to hit middle

HAPW Jayawardene lbw b Mithun 27 (48m 26b 2x4 1x6) SR: 103.84

Sri Lanka 393/7   HMRKB Herath 24* (22b 3x4 1x6)   A Mithun 24-3-81-3

Mithun to Malinga, OUT, Finally India make the breakthrough, Mithun's short ball does the job, Malinga falls away as he swipes at that one, gets an edge that swirls to fine leg where Harbhajan pouches the catch

SL Malinga c Harbhajan Singh b Mithun 64 (95m 75b 9x4 2x6) SR: 85.33

Sri Lanka 508/8   HMRKB Herath 73* (85b 9x4 1x6)   A Mithun 27-3-97-4
