3.6 to NT Paranavitana, Ishant Sharma nails Paranavitana. It was a length delivery in the zone outside off and Paranavitana went for the off drive away from his body. Mistake. The ball shaped away and took the edge.. 15/1
137.3 to BAW Mendis, The short delivery does the trick. Mendis stabs this one straight to gully. It was below chest-high, not quite a bouncer, but it proved enough to dislodge Mendis. 421/9
137.6 to UWMBCA Welegedara, Ishant fires a good bouncer, directed at the body, Welegedera couldn't get away from it and it brushed his glove and popped to Dhoni.. 425/10
42314013.3317011107
123.5 to SL Malinga, No 1 for Mishra. It was the googly on the off stump line, Malinga went for the off drive and ended up edging it towards the non-striker. Mishra dives across take it.. 386/8
461011542.502054204
42.4 to KC Sangakkara, Sanga has been caught at the boundary! There was a long-on in place and he still went for the big hit and is now enraged with himself as he storms off. He went down the track and lifted it straight to long-on! Sanga can't believe what he has done.Earlier in this Test series, he mowed a long-hop straight to deep midwicket. Now this.. 157/3
72.6 to DPMD Jayawardene, Ojha has been bowling well for some time now and gets his man this time. Height is the problem says Hawk eye. This is what happened: It landed on the middle stump line and straightened. Mahela pushed outside the line as he stretched forward to defend and was struck in front of the middle. Hawk eye shows that it would have bounced well over the middle stump.. 241/4
100.3 to AD Mathews, Got him with the arm ball. It landed around off stump and moved in. Angelo gets forward to defend and pushes outside the line. He was playing for the turn. There wasn't any. It would have hit the middle. Trapped! a just reward for Ojha who has bowled well in this Test. 330/5
112.5 to HAPW Jayawardene, Done in by that tendency to sweep. It was coming, you felt. It landed on middle and leg and turned and hit him in front of the middle stump. It would have gone to peg back the middle. No 4 for Ojha. There was a shout for lbw in the last delivery of the previous Ojha over when Pras went for another sweep shot. This time around he is gone.. 359/6
50811.60250001
122.6 to S Randiv, He tries to break free from that leg-stump line and goes for a slog sweep. But this one is around off stump and he gets a top edge! It's a simple catch for Rahul at first slip. Laxman hugs Sehwag.. 381/7

10.4 to M Vijay, Malinga takes out Vijay. It was the length delivery outside off and Vijay seemed to check his intended on-the-up drive and it went straight to extra cover. He was late in getting forward and the weight transfer wasn't smooth. That did him in. Interestingly, and perhaps an unrelated aside, even as he was waiting for Malinga to start running in, he was constantly looking at extra cover while in his stance.. 49/1
35.6 to SR Tendulkar, Malingaaaaaa! What a gift by Tendulkar, though! It was short of length and well outside off stump, Tendulkar's feet were glued to each other and he kept chasing the ball. It veered away even further away from his intended cut/dab/steer and got a thin edge through to the keeper. And boy is Malinga happy or what. Great scenes here.. 183/3
81.2 to MS Dhoni, And he is gone now. He was hurt by the bouncer previous ball, got some treatment and tried to counterattack this time but he is gone. It was the bouncer on the leg stump line and he went for the pull but gloved it behind. Malinga does the job Sanga called him for.. 350/7
1508805.865516012
30410923.6312014001
70.5 to VVS Laxman, That round-the-stumps angle has worked. It nearly did a few balls before. It was the carrom ball around off and Laxman tried to steer it past Mahela but squeezed it straight to him. Good sharp catch from Mahela at first slip. And Laxman departs after a good innings. The game gets more interesting. 304/5
74.4 to SK Raina, And he gets his man this time. A fine spell from Mendis. First Lax and now Raina. He got the carrom ball to cut in from outside off stump and Raina checked his punchy shot. Perhaps it stopped a touch on him. Perhaps it bounced more than it anticipated. Perhaps it cut in more than he thought it would. And it popped straight to short midwicket. Good innings from Raina but it's over now.. 321/6
401313.25161000
17.4 to R Dravid, And he is gone now! Jinx or no jinx! Trapped right in front. Just like that last Test. It landed on a length outside off and skidded towards leg. Dravid was caught at the crease, didn't adjust to the pace off the track and wafted across the line. And falls over a touch as he plays that shot. Gone! Angelo roars!. 92/2
25.168043.1710810001
40.1 to V Sehwag, Randiv might not have got that lbw before but he gets his man this time. Sehwag is stunned. He is not moving. Now he slowly turns and walks back. This is what happened: It was the flighted delivery outside off stump which turned and bounced in and Sehwag shaped for the big expansive inside-out hit through (or over) covers that he plays with the very high back lift.. But but he loses grip on the bat-handle as it comes down and ends up chipping a dolly to mid-off. Randiv erupts. Sehwag looks stunned.. 199/4
98.6 to A Mithun, Mithun's brave vigil ends. What a valuable knock this has been. It was the spinning delivery on his pads and he gloved it to right of backward short-leg where Mahela stretches his right hand and it threatens to pop out but he holds on to the rebound. Mithun trudges off after a fine hand. Just four short of fifty but well ahead of anyone's expectations.. 414/8
104.2 to A Mishra, Mishra holes out to deep midwicket. A very valuable contribution from him. He moved down the track and whipped it up and over the on-side field but Dilshan was waiting for it near the boundary. Mishra has done more that what would have asked of him.. 433/9
106.1 to I Sharma, Drama here! Ump Tucker first says not out before he reverses his decision and gives it out. This is what happened: It was a flighted delivery on the middle and leg, it spun past the waft , hit the pad and went to short-leg. No bat there. It went straight of the pad. The fielders appeal. The ump says not out. They appeal again. The ump is unmoved. They seemed to be resigned to the decision when he suddenly raises the finger. Gone! Ishant has to go back. He obviously doesn't look too happy. Big picture: India lead by 11 runs. This fascinating Test rumbles on.. 436/10

80.6 to TT Samaraweera, And it's Mithun who takes out Samaraweera! What a knock this has been. And he contributed to his own dismissal. It was the last ball of the over and he walked outside the off stump and tried to pull the short ball around the leg stump to fine-leg for a single and retain the strike. Mistake. He ended up gloving it behind. Perhaps, he was wary of letting Mendis play a full over against Ishant with the new ball. Anyway, he is gone now. What a fabulous innings under pressure. The crowd cheer him all the way. Great scenes here.. 243/9
1735403.17787044
2858933.171138100
20.5 to S Randiv, Trapped! It landed on middle and off and turned slightly. Randiv was leaning forward, looking to defend but pushed outside the line. Hawk eye shows that it would have hit the off stump. Dhoni must be a relieved man after dropping him previous ball. Enter Mahela. What a vital partnership this is going to be.. 63/3
26.5 to DPMD Jayawardene, Ojha takes out the big fish! What a strike. He flighted it around off and middle, a touch quicker, it gripped and turned. Mahela leaned forward to defend but was beaten by the turn and got the edge. Simple catch to slip. Ojha roars and dashes of on a celebratory run.. 77/4
28.3 to KC Sangakkara, Oh dear! what has Sanga done! Oh boy! There was a backward square-leg fielder in place, obviously for the top-edged sweep shot. This was a long hop almost. A rank short ball. What does Sanga do? He swivels for the pull but drags it straight to that man behind square-leg. Indians obviously erupt in joy. Sanga looks stunned. He holed out to long-on in the first innings and now this. what a vital vital moment this.. 78/5
1505133.40615000
9.5 to NT Paranavitana, Sehwag strikes! It was turning away from the off stump, from a length, Paranavitana chose to go back and jabbed at it. Thin edge and Dhoni pouches it safely. Sehwag jumps for joy.. 32/1
11.6 to TM Dilshan, And talking of short-leg fielders, here is a gem from VIjay. Sehwag again with the magic trick. It landed around middle and leg and turned. Dilshan leaned forward to defend and got an inside edge on to his pad. The ball popped close on the leg side and Vijay dived with an outstretched left hand and took a fab catch! Solkar would have approved. Sri Lanka lose two.. 39/2
42.2 to SL Malinga, That quickish delivery does the trick. Sehwag is the one who has gauged this pitch really well. And perhaps, more attuned to his natural pace as well. This one turns in quickly, turns past the defensive waft and hits him back right in front of the middle stump. It would have hit the leg stump Gone!. 125/8
17.214732.71723002
31.1 to AD Mathews, OMG! What is happening out there. It was a low full toss and Angelo hits it straight to midwicket! Indians can't believe it. Angelo too can't believe it. Not that it was even dipping rapidly on him. Hmmm .. Pressure. Strange scenes here. Tension can make you do things you wouldn't do normally.. 87/6
31.2 to HAPW Jayawardene, This is all unraveling here pretty quickly. Too quickly, some would say. It landed on the leg stump and straightened. It would have hit the leg stump. The batsman was pushing outside the line. Amit Mishra is on a hat trick here. Indians are jumping and shouting for joy. Now then .. now then... 87/7
85.2 to BAW Mendis, He charges down the track and smashes it hard and low to short extra cover where Raina takes a very good sharp catch. Mendis throws his head back, looks up at the skies and laughs. That will be an image forever tattooed on those who have watched the game. That Mendis laughter. It was a special knock.. 267/10

1.5 to V Sehwag, The big wicket is down. Sehwag out for a duck. The crowd roar. And roar. What a game-breaking moment this. It was from round the stumps, it landed around off and it didn't turn in. Sehwag thought it would and went forward to defend. It took the edge and went to Mahela who pouches it safely. And he spreads his arms in joy!. 10/1
9.1 to R Dravid, And Rahul Dravid is gone. He stands there, looking very very disappointed. The fielders rush past him to celebrate. He stands there, head down. He can't believe it. What a way to go too. It turned from around off stump, Dravid gets back to defend and tries to play with soft hands. It lands near his feet. To his horror, the ball spins back after it lands and he tries to kick it away but fails. The ball moves past his right leg and falls on the stumps. He walks away slowly from the scene, drops his bat once, picks it up and goes away. Tendulkar walks past him.. 27/2
15.2 to M Vijay, No 3 for Randiv! He is rocking here. He got this one to turn and bounce on the leg and middle line. There was a backward short-leg in place but Vijay went for that loose clip shot that one plays normally if there was no fielder there. Mahela takes a good low catch.Vijay wasn't sure it was taken cleanly. And it was refer ed upstairs. Numerous replays were seen and it has been given out. Mahela had no doubt that he had taken it cleanly. Replays weren't of great quality. The angles ie. But my gut feel, as if that matters!, is that it was out.. 49/3
21.3 to I Sharma, Randiv is da Maan. What a game he is having. He rips a flighted loopy delivery around off and middle and Ishant flicks it straight to short midwicket. Ishant has been looking very edgy right from the start and he is gone now. He made contact with the top half of the bat. 62/4
51.3 to SR Tendulkar, Now then .. Now then.. Those asking for drama get what they want. Sachin Tendulkar is out. It was flighted just outside leg stump from round the stumps and he went for his hard thumping sweep shot. Pras went to his left, collected it and went up in appeal. It seemed to have brushed his glove. Gone! What a moment this. Tendulkar trudges off slowly. Smart work from Prasanna. It touched the gloves and he took it. And it's of course Randiv who does the damage. What a game he has had.. 171/5
