New Zealand tour of Sri Lanka, 1st ODI: Sri Lanka v New Zealand at Hambantota, Nov 10, 2013

Mills to Dilshan, FOUR, this time he pierces the gap between cover and mid-off. Overpitched from Mills and all it needed was a little timing and Dilshan's drive had ample

Sri Lanka 8/1   TM Dilshan 5* (4b 1x4)   KD Mills 1.3-0-6-1

McClenaghan to Sangakkara, FOUR, short ball, he didn't get all of that, but that's the second boundary for Sri Lanka. He was a little slow to pull that short ball seaming into him and the ball took the under edge close to the handle of the bat and trickled away to long leg

Sri Lanka 14/1   KC Sangakkara 7* (13b 1x4)   MJ McClenaghan 1.1-0-6-0

McClenaghan to Sangakkara, FOUR, Oh, that was crisp! Short, wide and slapped away through point for consecutive fours. he's struggling with his lines here

Sri Lanka 18/1   KC Sangakkara 11* (14b 2x4)   MJ McClenaghan 1.2-0-10-0

Mills to Dilshan, FOUR, second cover drive from Dilshan and its the same result as the last time. And this was a better shot considering the ball wasn't overpitched. Cross-seamed delivery, possibly looking for that little bit of extra bounce, but there wasn't any on offer this time and Dilshan just hits through the line, finds the gap and watches it fly away to the boundary

Sri Lanka 27/1   TM Dilshan 10* (7b 2x4)   KD Mills 2.5-0-13-1

Mills to Dilshan, FOUR, and there's his signature shot - scoops that away over the keeper's head! It was fullish in length and had nothing wrong with it as it was coming towards top of off, but Dilshan goes on one knee and lofts the ball straight back behind him

Sri Lanka 34/1   TM Dilshan 14* (17b 3x4)   KD Mills 4-0-18-1

Milne to Sangakkara, FOUR, oh, but now he errs short and wide and the batsman taps it away wide of point. He wanted to test the middle of the pitch that time, but if he wants to do that, he needs to tuck the batsman up. Sanga though just rode the bounce and placed the ball. Lovely shot

Sri Lanka 38/1   KC Sangakkara 21* (28b 3x4)   AF Milne 1.4-0-6-0

Mills to Dilshan, FOUR, clipped away wide of mid-on, that was what he was looking to do in the last over from Mills. It was full on middle and he gets forward and whips it through the gap between mid-on and midwicket

Sri Lanka 43/1   TM Dilshan 18* (18b 4x4)   KD Mills 4.1-0-22-1

Milne to Sangakkara, FOUR, oh absolutely delicious! That was overpitched, it had width, it needed to be put away. But Sanga does so with such mouth watering elegance. Foot to the pitch of the ball and just holds his pose as the ball skittles away through the covers

Sri Lanka 53/1   KC Sangakkara 31* (33b 4x4 1x6)   AF Milne 2.3-0-17-0

McClenaghan to Sangakkara, FOUR, pulled away strongly and deep square leg cannot cut it off. McClenaghan persists with the short ball and the batsman is only too happy to go back and pound it away in front of square

Sri Lanka 69/1   KC Sangakkara 42* (45b 5x4 1x6)   MJ McClenaghan 3.2-0-25-0

McClenaghan to Sangakkara, FOUR, another trademark Sangakkara cover drive and that was going nowhere else but the the boundary. Too full this time from the bowler and he makes no mistake, getting forward and just caressing it wide of the man at cover

Sri Lanka 73/1   KC Sangakkara 46* (47b 6x4 1x6)   MJ McClenaghan 3.4-0-29-0

McCullum to Sangakkara, FOUR, tossed up nicely, but it was excellently played by Sanga to bring up his fifty. There was very little risk in that innings, and even in this shot, he was only using the pace of the bowler as he glanced it well to the left of of the man at short fine leg

Sri Lanka 85/1   KC Sangakkara 52* (51b 7x4 1x6)   NL McCullum 0.2-0-5-0

Anderson to Sangakkara, FOUR, and he offers up a friendly half-volley with a little room outside off stump. Sangakkara in this form is not going to miss out as he lofts the ball wide of mid-off and the ball heads straight to the boundary

Sri Lanka 112/1   KC Sangakkara 71* (68b 8x4 2x6)   CJ Anderson 0.1-0-4-0

Devcich to Dilshan, FOUR, he needed that. Full and with a little bit of width and Dilshan slams it through the covers. Muscular shot that to end his boundary drought

Sri Lanka 120/1   TM Dilshan 41* (68b 5x4)   AP Devcich 5.1-1-17-0

Anderson to Sangakkara, FOUR, this time Sanga gets the best of the battle. He charged him, Anderson adjusted and dug it in, but he was waiting for it judging by how quickly he was able to pull the ball behind square

Sri Lanka 130/1   KC Sangakkara 79* (79b 9x4 2x6)   CJ Anderson 2-0-13-0

Devcich to Dilshan, FOUR, and it was only a matter of time until his sweep shot found the middle of the bat. This was on middle and off and he lofts it away over square leg and it goes for a one-bounce four

Sri Lanka 136/1   TM Dilshan 49* (74b 6x4)   AP Devcich 6.3-1-26-0

Milne to Dilshan, FOUR, oh, lovely shot! What wrist work there from Dilshan! It was short again and this time he meets the ball with great intent, staying solidly balanced on his back foot and pulling it down behind square on the leg side

Sri Lanka 150/3   TM Dilshan 61* (88b 7x4)   AF Milne 5.4-0-31-0

Nicol to Mathews, FOUR, cut in the air, but it was well wide of the man at point. Flatter and quicker from Nicol again, but this time there was loads of room offered and Mathews pounced on it

Sri Lanka 186/3   AD Mathews 27* (23b 4x4 1x6)   MJ McClenaghan 4.5-0-46-0

Anderson to Dilshan, FOUR, fullish delivery outside off and Dilshan has scooped it taking his eyes off the ball over the 'keeper's head and gets four

Sri Lanka 193/3   TM Dilshan 77* (110b 8x4)   CJ Anderson 2.2-0-17-0

Anderson to Dilshan, FOUR, Anderson keeps it outside off, but Dilshan connects this time and he's scooped another one down on one knee right over the keeper's head for a one-bounce boundary

Sri Lanka 197/3   TM Dilshan 81* (113b 9x4)   CJ Anderson 2.5-0-21-0

Sri Lanka 209/4   AD Mathews 38* (32b 6x4 1x6)   CJ Anderson 3.3-0-25-1
