South Africa tour of Sri Lanka, 3rd ODI: Sri Lanka v South Africa at Pallekele, Jul 26, 2013
South Africa won by 56 runs
26 July 2013 - day/night match (50-over match)

Malinga to Petersen, OUT, caught behind! The bouncer works for Malinga. Petersen tried to hook it but only ended up gloving it to the keeper. That's the first short ball Malinga's bowled today and it's brought the first wicket for Sri Lanka. Petersen was early on the shot.

AN Petersen c †Sangakkara b Malinga 8 (18m 17b 1x4 0x6) SR: 47.05

South Africa 14/1   Q de Kock 5* (8b 1x4)   SL Malinga 2.1-0-7-1

NLTC Perera to de Kock, OUT, caught behind! Perera gets the ball to lift at pace from a good length, de Kock is caught on the crease and begins to play at it, he then stops his shot but leaves the bat hanging outside off stump, the edge flies through to Sangakkara, who takes his second catch

Q de Kock c †Sangakkara b NLTC Perera 20 (55m 28b 3x4 0x6) SR: 71.42

South Africa 50/2   JP Duminy 21* (36b 3x4)   NLTC Perera 1.3-0-6-1

NLTC Perera to Duminy, OUT, played on! Duminy tried to run a good length ball down to third man but it was a bit too close to him and he got an inside edge on to his stumps. South Africa's steady start is unraveling

JP Duminy b NLTC Perera 23 (45m 44b 3x4 0x6) SR: 52.27

South Africa 53/3   AB de Villiers 1* (5b)   NLTC Perera 2.4-0-8-2

Herath to de Villiers, OUT, I think Faf's been run out! AB played the ball into the covers and called his partner through for a risky single. Chandimal was quick to get to the ball and he picked up and threw swiftly to the keeper. Faf is extremely quick between the wickets but he was an inch short. A severe set back to an innings already struggling for momentum.

F du Plessis run out 16 (43m 33b 1x4 0x6) SR: 48.48

South Africa 95/4   AB de Villiers 27* (39b 2x4)   HMRKB Herath 4.5-0-15-0

Mendis to Behardien, OUT, that's out, but I'm not sure how exactly just yet. The umpire is asking for TV replays, so maybe it's a stumping. Mendis bowled an offbreak that drew Behardien forward and then the ball spun through the gap between bat and pad. Replays show that the ball clipped the off bail on its way into Sanga's gloves so the question of a stumping does not arise. Behardien's been bowled and South Africa slump further and further.

F Behardien b Mendis 2 (10m 4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

South Africa 100/5   AB de Villiers 30* (49b 2x4)   BAW Mendis 5.1-0-18-1

Mendis to de Villiers, OUT, AB's gone! And what a time for Sri Lanka to strike! Mendis pitched around off and spun the ball away from the right-hander, AB played inside the line and edged it to Sanga. AB put in so much hard work but has fallen just when he would have wanted to accelerate.

AB de Villiers c †Sangakkara b Mendis 47 (108m 72b 3x4 0x6) SR: 65.27

South Africa 148/6   DA Miller 30* (39b 2x4)   BAW Mendis 7.3-0-28-2

Mendis to Peterson, OUT, bowled him! Mendis pitched the offbreak on middle stump and Peterson did not read it. The previous ball had come back into the left-hander and this one went away. Peterson closed the face and the ball spun past the bat to hit off stump

RJ Peterson b Mendis 3 (9m 10b 0x4 0x6) SR: 30.00

South Africa 154/7   DA Miller 33* (43b 2x4)   BAW Mendis 8.5-0-30-3
