South Africa in Sri Lanka T20I Series - 3rd T20I

Sri Lanka v South Africa

Sri Lanka won by 6 wickets (with 11 balls remaining)

The same pitch is being used. 140 will be a winning score, says Du Plessis. Malinga is out with an ankle injury. Still a mystery now as to who will keep wicket for SL.

Toss, 6.30: South Africa have won the toss and they are batting first. South Africa are unchanged. Sri Lanka leave out Sangakkara and Malinga. Dilshan's back and Lakmal gets a place too.

Greg D: "I promised that I would get my whole office to watch the match today if SA won the first T20 (We looked dead and buried in that game until Sri Lanka's collapse). Ive delivered and we are all waiting with baited breath for this game to start. SA cant let me down today or my director might fire me!!"

Kusal: "This series has been nothing what Sri Lanka CAN produce. They have been a dominant T20 Side for a while two. Series wins against Australia in Australia, World T20 Finalists. 2nd Game I expected a usual come back from the lions , but it didnt come ( except Sanga). It would be fair to say our batting has cost both T20. Hope today puts all the critics silent for some while. But all credit due to South Africa."

David: "Faf has been a good captain during these T20 matches.. He'll be an even greater one if he demotes himself down the order.."

andrew shevon: "yes, I think SL will win today cause they have ability to win against in a have period of time. so is must win game for them to retain one number in t20 ranking ."

6.20pm: Good day everyone and welcome to the coverage of the final match of the tour. Like the one-dayers, this final match has also been reduced to a dead rubber. Sri Lanka, as we know, are not as bad as this. Overconfidence? Or beaten by a better team? Could be both. The toss is on really soon.

Anthony: "Can't wait for the Sri Lankan humiliation." Easy to guess which country you are from.

Yuvraj: "Sri Lanka should recall "Dilshan" for this match, Calling Jayawardene was not a good call."

Zeeshan Ahmed: "Im usually a Srilankan supporter but today I would like to see SA win again just to see Pakistan climb to the top of ranking!"

This is 23 above what Faf du Plessis rated a winning score. He set the example with a fine knock. Survived a blow on the groin, but his innings got better and better after that blow, ironically. Sri Lanka were largely sloppy on the field, they ought to have had du Plessis caught out but Thirimanne fluffed it. Given how the batting has suffered in the first two games, 164 will take some getting.
