Scorecard
The Indian women defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets to register their third consecutive victory in as many matches at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground. With this victory, India clinched the series 3-0 and also, having beaten New Zealand and West Indies, registered their third straight series win.
Opting to bat first, Sri Lanka were bowled out for only 89 runs in 39.3 overs. Their batting crumbled once again and they are still to come to terms with the Indian bowling. Nooshin Al Khadeer, the offspiner, and Jhulan Goswami were the pick of the bowlers claiming 4 for 15 and 3 for 15 respectively. Mamatha Maben, Amita Sharma and Deepa Kulkarni picked up one wicket each. For Sri Lanka, C Senevirathne looked impressive before she was caught and bowled by Maben for 24.
In reply, India lost 4 wickets in what should have been a comfortable run-chase. Anjum Chopra guided them home with a composed 22.
The fourth one-dayer will be played on April 25.
