Batsmen Lahiru Thirimanne and Dimuth Karunaratne, who are part of the Sri Lanka ODI squad against England, are the other two. The squad also includes batsman Banuka Rajapakse, who dominated the recently concluded school cricket season and excelled for Sri Lanka Under-19 in the World Cup and against England Under-19.

calm down MaNu JAy... Jeewan is in the SL ODI squad for the England series which is on at the same time. Kaushal Silva is a class act, he'll get into the team eventually. Chandimal's technique against fast bowlers needs a lot of work, so this tour will be great for him. He's suffered badly in the SL main team's practice matches and has been found out. The fanatics in SL who demanded he be included in SL's worldcup squad (based on ONE knock against a depleted indian attack in Abu Dhabi!!!) better have their eyes opened now. He's good, but he needs a lot more work.

Chandimal who has already scored many good knocks, 1 of that is a double century against the SA A side, nor any other batsmen Kaushal S,Dimuth K,Lahiru T,Bhanuka R& spinners Sachithra S,Seekkuge, Prasanna,Sajeewa Weerakoon don't need any extra experience. They are far better players than the most of the established players. They are players of Class since the age of 15. It is just to please the seniors & to provide opportunities to their favorites in the forth coming Australian tour Scheduled for Jul/Aug that the Selectors are sending them to Eng. One important thing that SLC should do is to send some past experienced intelligent cricketers to India & give them a good training on the subject of team selections. Otherwise extremely talented youth in SL won't get a chance to play for the Country as Tendulkars Miandads did for their respective Countries. I am sorry to admit that the world hasn't seen the SL's best players of the last 10 years.

Dhammika might have taken wickets on home wickets but selectors should be intelligent to choose those with height to be effective on bouncy pitches, speed alone won't do.

Good guys like Silva, chandimul and thirimanne are very close to SL team and some exp in england will do a world of good. Chandimul should be Test and ODI Keeper and kaushal silva could also push a claim as specialist batsman/reserve keeper. Sangakarra doesnt really want to keep so let chandimul keep, he is far better batsman then kapugedera, silva etc anyway. Thirimanne is one for future
