A finger strain will keep Tillakaratne Dilshan out of the first match in Sri Lanka's first-class tri-series, which begins on Tuesday. Dilshan's omission is understood to be a precautionary measure, and he is expected to be fit to play the Board XI's second match of the tournament, which begins on October 21.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Kaushal Silva has been moved from the Sri Lanka A team and into the Board XI for Tuesday's match, after his highly successful run in first-class cricket. Fast bowler Kanishka Alvitigala, has in turn, been shuffled from the development squad to the A team and Kasun Madushanka brought into the development squad to replace him.

I think you guys are missing a point here. This is not a tournament about winning and loosing. This is a tournament to prove individual capabilities in the longer version of the game. Kaushal is the next in line for the team and the moment a national player is injured, he gets the chance. Thats what they have done. Thats the whole concept here. What this really means is another youngester get the opportunity to go against the best in the country while Dilshan recoveres.

This is very unfair to the two lesser-sides (A team and Dev squad)

This is so unfair for A team and Dev. team. They won't stand a chance here.

it's unfair to send players from A team to XI team if A team played with dimuth and kaushal they definitely beat XI. but now XI team is strong. any way Wish Good Luck to "SL -A" team.
