The Sri Lankan selectors have named an unchanged 16-man squad for the Second Test against India in Kandy which starts Wednesday.

They may also pick the same eleven that won so convincingly in Galle, but will wait until they have inspected the pitch before they make a final decision.

Sanath Jayasuriya, speaking straight after his side's 10-wicket victory, said that they would continue to attack with pace against India. In Galle they played an unprecendented four fast bowlers in the side.

The pitch is expected to offer assistance to the fast bowlers, with greater pace and bounce than was seen in Galle.

India, meanwhile, have experienced further injury problems. Javagal Srinath, the main strike bowler, has returned home after x-rays revealed that he had sustained a fractured bone in his left hand having been hit by rookie fast bowler Dilhara Fernando in the Indian first innings during the Galle Test.

India have already arrived in Kandy and will train on Sunday afternoon. Sri Lanka will stay in Colombo until Monday morning.

Sri Lanka squad:

Sanath Jayasuriya (captain), Marvan Atapattu (vice-captain), Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Russel Arnold, Hashan Tillakaratne, Chaminda Vaas, Suresh Perera, Ruchira Perera, Dilhara Fernando, Muttiah Muralitharan, Tilan Samaraweera, Avishka Gunawardana, Dulip Liyanage, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Michael Vandort.
