Ron Sarre was a top-order batsman and offspinner who played for Western Australia in the early 1950s but enjoyed one good season in 1952-53 when he made 305 runs including his only two fifty-plus scores. His one hundred came in March 1953 against a reasonably strong Australia XI who were stopping off in Perth on their way to England.
