Kings XI, having looked out of the game, had recovered and now needed 29 to win off 21 balls with three wickets in hand. Manan Vohra had single-handedly revived them and was on 83. He punched a back-of-a-length ball from Bhuvneshwar Kumar to sweeper cover's left, and Shikhar Dhawan ran, took the catch and then hit the deck. His captain, David Warner, was celebrating, but when Dhawan got up, everyone realised he had dropped the ball when he tumbled.
Impact: Vohra got 11 runs in the next over to give Kings XI the advantage, before Bhuvneshwar trapped him lbw and won the game for Sunrisers.
Mohammad Nabi drops Manan Vohra off Moises Henriques in 14th over
When Vohra was on 45, Mohammad Nabi nearly pulled of a stunning catch to dismiss him. Vohra tried to ramp one over short third man, and Nabi lept and stuck his right hand out. He managed to get his fingers to the ball, but could only manage to parry it.
Impact: Vohra added 50 more and nearly won the match for Kings XI.
Mohammad Nabi drops Axar Patel off his own bowling in 11th over
Nabi dropped a much easier chance earlier in Kings XI's chase of 160. Axar Patel pushed one lazily back to him, but Nabi missed the chance to dismiss Axar for a duck.
Impact: Axar scored just seven runs before being dismissed.
Eoin Morgan drops David Warner off Sandeep Sharma in 20th over
David Warner was looking to take Sunrisers' total past 150 in the final over of their innings and hit a low full toss in long-off's direction. The ball was above Eoin Morgan's head, but he should have caught it after getting both hands to it. It went straight through and over the rope for six.
Impact: Those six runs proved crucial as Sunrisers won by five.
Mohit Sharma drops Naman Ojha off KC Cariappa in 11th over
Naman Ojha was still on 2 when he mistimed an attempted sweep and sent the ball looping towards deep square leg. Mohit Sharma had to run a fair bit to his right, but ended up over-running the ball and didn't even get his hands to the chance. The ball landed behind him as he lost his footing and fell over.
Impact: The missed chance cost Kings XI 32 runs as Ojha scored an important 34 off 20 balls.
Gautam Gambhir drops Chris Morris off Nathan Coulter-Nile in 19th over
In an excellent over from Nathan Coulter-Nile, Morris misread a slower ball and lobbed one to cover, but Gambhir put down a sitter to give Morris his second life in the space of three balls.
Impact: Morris struck two boundaries in the last over to push Daredevils' score to 168.

Morris top-edged a pull, and Umesh, running in from long off, saw the ball hit his wrist and pop out.
Impact: Morris added 11 important runs to his score, which could have been crucial in a tight game, but Knight Riders ended up winners.

A knuckle ball from Narine got the outside edge, but the keeper missed a regulation chance.

Defending 188, Daredevils had Kings XI in trouble at 80 for 5 and could have put the final nail in the coffin by dismissing David Miller, but his firm drive was put down at cover, where Zaheer dived low to his right and got both hands on the ball.
Impact: Miller added just five more to his total, and Daredevils won.
KC Cariappa drops Corey Anderson off his own bowling in 15th over
Kings XI had restricted Daredevils to 110 for 4 in 15 overs and could have had another when Anderson, batting on 2, punched one straight back, but Cariappa could not get down quick enough to take the sharp chance.
Impact: Anderson added 37 more runs to his score, which proved crucial in Daredevils winning.

Maxwell, still on 5, inside-edged a Chris Woakes delivery, and the ball flicked his pad on the way to the keeper, Uthappa, who dived to his left and put down a tough chance.
Impact: Maxwell smashed 16 runs off the next over and added 20 in total to his score.

Manan Vohra had raced to 18 off 10 balls before he top-edged a hook to third man, where Narine dropped a straightforward chance.

Impact: The drop had virtually no impact as Dinda scored just 7 and Daredevils won by 97 runs.
Mandeep Singh drops Glenn Maxwell off Shane Watson in 12th over
With Kings XI reaching 107 for 2 in chase of 149, Royal Challengers were desperate for a wicket. On 13, Maxwell sliced one to point. Mandeep got his hands in front of his face but watched the ball burst through them.
Impact: Maxwell scored another 30 runs to guide Kings XI to a comfortable win.
Billy Stanlake drops Hashim Amla off Tymal Mills in 6th over
Early wickets were key for Royal Challengers as they tried to defend 148, and Amla, batting on 20, gave them a chance when he mistimed a hook. Stanlake, at fine leg, let the ball slip through his hands and go over the boundary for six.
Impact: Amla ended up with 58 not out as Kings XI won by eight wickets.

Mumbai Indians needed 11 off the last over in a chase of 179, and Knight Riders had already committed a fielding error, a misfield from Suryakumar Yadav allowing a four. With 5 runs needed off 3 balls, Hardik Pandya top-edged a pull, and Rishi Dhawan, on the field as a substitute, ran in from deep square leg but slipped and then couldn't hold on to the catch while diving forward.
Impact: Hardik ran two off the ball and then smashed a four next ball to give Mumbai the win.
Parthiv Patel drops Manish Pandey off Krunal Pandya in 12th over
Krunal Pandya had already taken two wickets to reduce Knight Riders to 82 for 3 and should have had another when he beat Manish Pandey, batting on 14, in the flight and got him to nick one to the keeper, but the ball was travelling quickly and Parthiv's reactions were found wanting.
Impact: After the drop, Pandey scored 67 off 28 balls and got Knight Riders to 178, which was almost enough for a win.
David Warner drops Suresh Raina off Rashid Khan in 5th over
In the middle of one of the spells of the tournament, Rashid Khan got Suresh Raina to drive away from his body and edge to slip, where David Warner nearly pulled off a stunner diving to his right.
Impact: Rashid got Raina a few overs later, so the drop cost just five runs.
Dan Christian drops Wriddhiman Saha off Ben Stokes in 5th over
With Kings XI chasing 164, Wriddhiman Saha, on 5, tried to hit one over short cover, where Christian dived to his right and got a hand to it, but couldn't complete the catch.
Impact: Saha added nine more runs to his total, and Kings XI were successful in their chase.
Manan Vohra drops Ajinkya Rahane off Sandeep Sharma in 4th over
Kings XI had a chance to take a second wicket in Rising Pune's Powerplay when Ajinkya Rahane, on 4, got a leading edge that looped towards cover. T Natarajan should have run in to take it from extra cover, but instead Manan Vohra ran backwards from short cover to try to take it and let it slip from his hands as he fell.
Impact: Rahane got another 15 runs, but Rising Pune couldn't amass a big enough total.
Dwayne Smith drops Chris Lynn off Dhawal Kulkarni in 15th over
For the second time in two balls, Chris Lynn, who had smashed 79 off 37 balls, was dropped. Dwayne Smith dropped the ball when running in from deep square leg.
Impact: Kolkata Knight Riders were just 15 runs from victory at the time of the drop, so it didn't do much except allow Lynn and Gautam Gambhir to complete the IPL's first unbeaten opening partnership.

The ball before Smith's miss, Brendon McCullum parried a straight hit by Lynn over the long-off boundary.

Having just completed his fifty, Suresh Raina skied a slog sweep to deep midwicket, where Yusuf Pathan tried to take it with his fingers pointing upwards but dropped the regulation chance.

Raina should not have been allowed to even get to 50. He miscued a pull when on 12, and Kuldeep did the hard work in running backwards from mid-on and getting to the ball, but then spilled it.

Tim Southee drops MS Dhoni off Jasprit Bumrah in 19th over
Rising Pune had 14 runs to win off seven balls, and MS Dhoni hit a full toss straight to long-on. Inexplicably, Tim Southee dropped it, allowing Rising Pune to complete a single.
Impact: Rising Pune got the 13 required off the last over, with Dhoni taking singles off the first and third balls to give Steven Smith the strike.
Nitish Rana drops Steven Smith off Mitchell McClenaghan in 13th over
Steven Smith, batting on 36, was the key to Rising Pune's chase of 185, and offered a chance as he pulled in the air. Nitish Rana ran to his right from deep square leg but couldn't hold on to the catch.
Impact: Smith added 48 to his score and won the game for Rising Pune.
MS Dhoni drops Kieron Pollard off Ashok Dinda in 18th over
With Mumbai Indians 138 for 6, Kieron Pollard edged a yorker, but Dhoni dropped the low chance.
Impact: Pollard added just five more to his score, but a wicket may have given Ashok Dinda a bit of confidence. He went for 30 runs in his next over.
Rajat Bhatia drops Parthiv Patel off Ashok Dinda in 3rd over
Dinda's eventual figures of 4-0-57-0 would have looked a lot better had Rising Pune's fielders given him some support. In his second over, he got Parthiv Patel, batting on 13, to slash one straight to third man, but Rajat Bhatia misjudged the pace of the ball and let it hit his stomach.
Impact: Parthiv added just six runs to his score after the drop.
Sreenath Aravind drops Yuvraj Singh off Aniket Choudhary in 13th over
Yuvraj had started to attack and was on 26 off 11 balls when he pulled one to deep square leg. Sreenath Aravind attempted to take the chest-high chance with a reverse cup but let it go straight through his palms.
