Axed Australian Test opener Matt Renshaw scored his first half-century of the Sheffield Shield season as Queensland played out a draw with South Australia in Cairns.
The Redbacks started the final day on 2 for 59 and progressed to 7 for 234 before declaring in the middle session, with a lead of 330. Travis Head top scored for South Australia with 65 and Callum Ferguson posted 59.
However, South Australia's slim chances of victory came to nothing as Renshaw batted for 133 balls for his unbeaten 51, and Queensland finished at 3 for 125. Chadd Sayers picked up two wickets, including that of first innings double-centurion Joe Burns.
