1 Adam Gilchrist, the IPL's most prolific six hitter, mis-cues the fourth ball of the match, from Sumit Narwal, and is caught at mid off. Deccan Chargers are 2 for 1.

2 Herschelle Gibbs was settling in and looking dangerous by the time Shane Warne came into the attack in the seventh over. Warne bowled him a flighted legbreak, Gibbs dragged his back foot out of the crease, and Naman Ojha whipped off the bails.

3 Andrew Symonds was on 22 off 14 balls when Rohit Sharma called him back for an impossible second run. The throw from Abhishek Jhunjhunwala was spot on and Symonds was several yards short.

4 During Rajasthan's chase, Michael Lumb was dropped by Gibbs in RP Singh's first over and, in his second, hit the bowler for four consecutive boundaries. The last ball went for four leg byes and Rajasthan surged ahead by 20 runs.

5 Yusuf Pathan began his innings in the seventh over and had a slip and a silly point waiting for an edge. He swung mightily against Pragyan Ojha and hit him for a straight six, the first of eight.
