Educated at St. George's College, Harare, where he captained 1st XI Cricket in 1996. Also played 1st XI Hockey and represented his college in Athletics and Swimming. He represented Zimbabwe U18 at the South African Coca-Cola Cricket Tournament in 1995 and 1996. He first played for Zimbabwe U19 in January 1996. His future plans include studying for a degree at the University of Cape Town in 1998.
