Champions League Twenty20 - 8th match, Group A

Somerset v Trinidad & Tobago

Trinidad & Tobago won by 44 runs

3.58 pm: The pre-match formalities are done and it's game time. Simmons and 23-year old Perkins are T&T's openers, Willoughby will open the attack for Somerset. He's having a chat with Langer about his field ... and we're ready to go.

Toss, 3.30 pm: Daren Ganga's won it and Trinidad and Tobago will bat. They are playing three spinners in their XI and hope to exploit the conditions later in the day. T&T also have nine internationals in their team, which I (George Binoy) will have for you in a while.

Justin Langer said he would have batted as well but isn't too fussed about chasing either. Somerset are playing an unchanged XI from the one that beat Deccan in Hyderabad. He feels the pitch is much drier than the one in Hyderabad.

Somerset: 1 Marcus Trescothick, 2 Justin Langer (capt), 3 Zander de Bruyn, 4 Craig Kieswetter (wk), 5 Arul Suppiah, 6 Peter Trego, 7 James Hildreth, 8 Ben Phillips, 9 Alfonso Thomas, 10 Max Waller, 11 Charl Willoughby.

No confirmation of the T&T team yet I'm afraid, you'll know as soon as I do. The pitch is hard without much grass, it doesn't seem like a fast one ... but definitely not as slow as the surface in Delhi.

Finally we've got hold of the top-secret T&T XI.

Trinidad & Tobago: 1 Lendl Simmons, 2 William Perkins, 3 Daren Ganga (capt), 4 Dwayne Bravo, 5 Darren Bravo, 6 Kieron Pollard, 7 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 8 Sherwin Ganga, 9 Dave Mohammed, 10 Ravi Rampaul, 11 Samuel Badree.

Today in Page 2: Daren Ganga's Five Firsts, starring Brian Lara; Alan Tyers eavesdrops in the Somerset dressing room; and Steve Harmison takes recourse to violence; and Nathan Hauritz in Doppelgangers.

3.22 pm: Good afternoon and welcome to Cricinfo's coverage of today's double-header from the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The weather in Bangalore is cloudy and cool - fantastic cricket weather as long as the rain stays away. The first game is between Somerset and Trinidad and Tobago, who are making their Champions League debut. Somerset already have a win and another one today will secure their second-round spot.

Check out our Facebook page, where you can discuss this match. We're also on Twitter.

The toss is a couple of minutes away, details in a moment or two ... thin crowd at the Chinnaswamy Stadium today so head on down if you can. There's an auto strike in the city though so public transport might be hard to find.

Thomas to Badree, 1 run, driven forcefully to mid-off for just the single, T&T reach exactly 150

T&T have reached a challenging total, they have several slow bowlers in their attack and they could prove a handful if they adapt to conditions quickly. T&T's innings was entertaining throughout, their batsmen attacked from the start and none of them perished wondering what might have been ... I'll be back in ten minutes for the Somerset chase.
