Champions League Twenty20, 20th Match, League B: Cape Cobras v Delhi Daredevils at Delhi, Oct 19, 2009
Champions League Twenty20 - 20th match, League B
Delhi Daredevils won by 30 runs
19 October 2009 - night match (20-over match)

8.00pm Dilshan is on strike, Zondeki has the ball. One slip in place. 'Play' says the umpire.

7.55pm The umpires walk out. The smallish crowd cheer as the teams stride onto the ground.

Tim P from South Africa: "GO COBRA's........ My WP rugby only just didn't make the Currie Cup finals on saturday....... now its up to you guys to pick me up again!! Can you do it!?"

Sumit Agarwal from India is backing Victoria to take the title.

7.50pm There's no grass in the track at all, there wouldn't be too much bounce in it, says Jeremy Coney in his pitch analysis. 130 could be a defendable total here, he says.

Nagaraj from India picks his finalists: "Cape Cobras Vs T&T."

dtich from Australia, like most other feedbackers is backing Daren Ganga's team. "I def think T&T have it in them to go all the way. They have shown great spirit and devotion to the cause. Ganga's said all along that they came here to play a total of 6 games. I hope they take it out!"

7.40pm Cape Cobras have shown they are one of the best batting sides in the tournament, with most of their batsmen (barring Gibbs) having chipped in with key contributions. Delhi's batting, on the other hand, looks a touch lightweight in the absence of Sehwag, given the struggles of Gambhir and Dilshan in this tournament.

Trinidad and Tobago have surprised most of us with their exciting batting through the tournament. Eagles captain Boeta Dippenaar said after yesterday's defeat that the boys from the Caribbean are the favourites. Which team do you think is looking good for the title?

Toss Gambhir spins, Puttick calls 'Heads', it is 'Heads', Cobras choose to bowl. Herschelle Gibbs and Ryan Canning are back in the XI. The other change is that Francois Plaatjies is getting a game. Puttick says Langeveldt is also fit but they don't want to risk him in today's match.

Delhi have made a few changes as well: Yogesh Nagar, Pradeep Sangwan and Aavishkar Salvi are all included. No McGrath today. No Sehwag either.

7.15pm Hello and welcome to the final league match of the inaugural Champions League Twenty20. Delhi Daredevils are already eliminated and Cape Cobras have already qualified to the final four. If Cobras win today, they will take on New South Wales, a loss and they will be up against the unbeaten Trinidad & Tobago.

Philander to Mishra, 1 bye, well outside off, Mishra looks to mow it towards the leg side, he misses, Shah scampers the bye

Delhi finish on 114, looks to be too small a total, especially against a strong Cobras batting line-up. But, this pitch isn't an easy one for batting, so they could yet be a twist to this game.

Jackie from South Africa: "As a cobra supporter I'd rather take my chances agains T & T on a batting wicket. Commercial Herschelle and Henry Davids are due...and with Duminy, Puttick and Ontong in good form you have to back them to chase down anything OR set a 200+ score"

More support for the Cobras. This time from Richard: "Best team that everyone is shouting about, is T&T, maybe rightly so.

But everyone forgets Cobras are unbeaten, and looking good again.

If the Cobras get into the final (NSW are no easy game) then they will beat T&T for 3 reasons: They can match their hitting (even the Diamon Eagles got close and they have nothing the Cobras have wrt batting), they have a better bowling attack and lastly a more disciplined fielding team. "

Subrangshi Sengupta from India thinks it's all about team spirit: "I think T&T are the best united side in the tournament and that is their success formula. They have played together for quite a while now and know each other better that any other team. I wonder whether there's any chance of any IPL team becoming so united and playing like T&T."
