Kumar to Hussey, no run, away swinger to start, starts from leg and curls away. Hussey defends from the crease

Kumar to Hussey, no run, another one, starts from middle and goes away, Hussey shoulders arms this time

Kumar to Hussey, 1 run, this time he strays on the pads and Hussey gets something on it and nudges behind square for one on the leg side

Kumar to Vijay, 1 run, back of a length on middle, Vijay tucks it off the pads towards mid on and is away with a single

Kumar to Hussey, no run, nice shape from Praveen here, Hussey stays watchfully in the crease and plays it with the movement into the covers

Kumar to Hussey, no run, and some extra bounce to boot, this one rises nicely from middle and off, Hussey lets it go again.

Chennai Super Kings 2/0   P Kumar 1-0-2-0

Kumar to Hussey, 1 run, more away movement for Praveen, Hussey square cuts it gingerly to the deep point fielder for one

Kumar to Vijay, 1 run, worked off the hips for a single to midwicket

Kumar to Hussey, 1 run, Praveen fumbles and loses the opportunity to catch the batsmen in trouble. Hussey tucked it off his pads to the left of Praveen and they went for a rather risky single. Praveen tooks his eyes off the ball as he ran across and did not collect cleanly. If he had, he could have had either batsman in trouble

Kumar to Vijay, 2 runs, Vijay looks to play that on-side heave of his, and it goes over mid-on - just over mid-on for a couple

Kumar to Vijay, FOUR, this time he gets it off the meat, and it goes in his favourite region. Emphatic, over midwicket. Plants the front foot across, picks the length early and times it crisply.

Kumar to Vijay, 1 run, back of a length outside off, he punches it off the backfoot to mid off

Chennai Super Kings 16/0   P Kumar 2-0-12-0

Kumar to Raina, 1 run, back of a length outside off, Raina opens the face and runs it off the backfoot behind square for one

Kumar to Vijay, FOUR, and again, that pull-swing across the line. When it comes off, like it did here - one bounce, two, over wide long on - it looks majestic. Praveen landed it on the length Vijay likes - and no movement anymore.

Kumar to Vijay, 1 run, better length, further up, so Vijay can't get under it or drive, so he plays watchfully off the backfoot to mid on for one

Kumar to Raina, no run, run out appeal against Vijay and this is touch and go. Raina tucked it away off his pads towards Pandey at square leg, who was alert seeing Vijay backing up and threw down the stumps at the bowler's end. Vijay has made his ground, but only just. He wasn't at full stretch.

Kumar to Raina, 1 run, angling across, back of a length, Raina looks to swing it across the line to the leg side and doesn't make contact too well. They steal a single near his feet

Kumar to Vijay, FOUR, Vijay has out-thought Praveen to pick four here. Praveen knew Vijay will pick his spot and predicted the pull-swing over midwicket. So he went for a short slow leg cutter. Vijay instead backed away to the leg side, and opened his wrists late to guide it between point and short third man

Chennai Super Kings 34/1   P Kumar 3-0-23-0
