Alan Mansell was Sussex's wicketkeeper in the early 1970s, playing two complete seasons in 1974 and 1975. He was a decent lower-order batsman, with four fifties to his name. He subsequently coached, mainly locally, but had a spell in South Africa with Border and Western Province.
