Broad to Rogers, OUT, gone! First wicket of the series. Excellent delivery from Broad, short of a length at the body, but Rogers didn't play it very well, just fending at it and lobbing an easy catch to gully off the splice. Broad (or 'that medium-pacer' as the local paper will have to say) enjoyed that.

CJL Rogers c Bell b Broad 1 (15m 9b 0x4 0x6) SR: 11.11

Australia 12/1   DA Warner 10* (11b 2x4)   SCJ Broad 1.1-0-7-1
24.3

Broad to Watson, OUT, he's been seduced this time, pushing with stiff hands and edged to second slip, smartly taken by Swann leaping to his right! England have broken through, it's Broad again, he got a little extra bounce once more, having pitched the previous two up, really Watto should have left again but he was compelled to jab at it and the Swann dive had England jubilant

SR Watson c Swann b Broad 22 (99m 71b 2x4 0x6) SR: 30.98

Australia 71/2   DA Warner 42* (68b 6x4)   SCJ Broad 7.3-1-30-2
26.4

Broad to Clarke, OUT, he's got him! The first short ball. Clarke has popped it to short leg. What a moment in this match and, maybe, the series. After the full balls it was banged in short, at the body, but not too short (he had to play) and all Clarke could do was pop a simple catch in the air on the leg side

MJ Clarke c Bell b Broad 1 (7m 10b 0x4 0x6) SR: 10.00

Australia 73/3   DA Warner 43* (71b 6x4)   SCJ Broad 8.4-2-30-3
30.3

Broad to Warner, OUT, oh, what's he done! Warner's slapped a short ball straight to cover. It wasn't a great delivery, short of a length outside off. Warner driving lazily off the back foot and it was a simple catch.

DA Warner c Pietersen b Broad 49 (142m 82b 6x4 0x6) SR: 59.75

Australia 83/4   SPD Smith 3* (12b)   SCJ Broad 10.3-3-35-4
35.3

Anderson to Bailey, OUT, and another! Australia five down. Bailey couldn't hit the last one, but thick-edged this time. Pushing outside off without any footwork, the edge carries low to Cook at first slip. Anderson is on the board for series

GJ Bailey c Cook b Anderson 3 (20m 15b 0x4 0x6) SR: 20.00

Australia 100/5   SPD Smith 16* (27b 3x4)   JM Anderson 10.3-3-16-1
44.3

Tremlett to Smith, OUT, Tremlett gets his first! He's in on the fun now as he attacks the line just outside off again and this one nips away just a tiny bit, Smith hangs the bat at it defensively and edges to first slip where it's swallowed comfortably

SPD Smith c Cook b Tremlett 31 (80m 59b 4x4 0x6) SR: 52.54

Australia 132/6   BJ Haddin 17* (22b 2x4)   CT Tremlett 11.3-3-35-1
82.6

Broad to Johnson, OUT, Broad gets his fifth! That's the end of a terrific fighting partnership, and it ended thanks to the new ball and Stuart Broad's swing, he curves this one back in to the left-hander, Johnson tries to play straight but it nips between bat and pad and clobbers the middle stump.

MG Johnson b Broad 64 (143m 134b 6x4 2x6) SR: 47.76

Australia 246/7   BJ Haddin 63* (119b 5x4 1x6)   SCJ Broad 19-3-63-5
87.5

Anderson to Siddle, OUT, and there is the edge! Anderson deserved that, he had beaten Siddle a number of times and this one just moved a fraction away and Siddle's defensive push is collected low to the ground at first slip

PM Siddle c Cook b Anderson 7 (20m 18b 1x4 0x6) SR: 38.88

Australia 265/8   BJ Haddin 74* (130b 7x4 1x6)   JM Anderson 20.5-4-56-2
92.6

Broad to Harris, OUT, six for Broad...all rather casual. Harris tries to leave a length delivery outside, can't get his bat out of the line fast enough and the ball runs off the back to Prior

RJ Harris c †Prior b Broad 9 (24m 17b 0x4 0x6) SR: 52.94

Australia 282/9   BJ Haddin 82* (144b 7x4 1x6)   SCJ Broad 22-3-73-6
97.1

Anderson to Haddin, 1 run, OUT, he's gone! Excellent from Carberry. Haddin jabbed a full ball into the off side and wanted two, but he never had a chance once Carberry picked up the ball cleanly running in from deep point. It was an okay throw, a slightly awkward take from Prior who did very well to get the ball down onto the stumps

BJ Haddin run out 94 (261m 153b 8x4 1x6) SR: 61.43

Australia 295/10   NM Lyon 1* (16b)   JM Anderson 25.1-5-67-2
