Moneeb Iqbal became the youngest player ever to represent Scotland when Mike Hendrick handed him his debut at 16 against Leicestershire in 2002. He was part of the youth set-up in Scotland for some time, playing in both the 2002 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand and the 2004 tournament in Bangladesh, where he scored a valuable 67 in a win over Nepal. While at Durham University he represented the county a handful of times, picking up useful wickets with his leg spin. He did not appear for the Durham first team in 2007 and it remains to be seen if he can make the jump up in class.
