I'd love to hear Dirk's reasoning to how Aus were the better side in the 1st test match. Obviously England's batting didn't fire on all cylinders in the 1st inning but Aus were literally only kept in the contest by a poor umpiring call, when Agar should have been out stumped and then he went on to make 98. Anderson and Bell performance alone was far better than Aus produced and on the whole were much the better side. I think Aus fans etc have deluded themselves into think they deserve more out this series than what they've got so far. They seem to think it was a foregone conclusion that but for the weather they'd have won the last test. When it's far from the truth, especially with England having good form with saving tests.

No doubt England have batted like muppets today, after being 148-2 and looking very comfortable. Aus bowled OK nothing more imo, Siddle and Harris were pretty toothless and Bird did Cook with a jaffa. But Lyon didn't spin a ball all day but yet somehow got 4.
