80- India's margin of defeat in the first T20I at Westpac Stadium, their biggest ever in the format, in terms of runs. Their previous worst loss was by 49 runs against Australia in the 2010 World T20. This was New Zealand's joint fifth-biggest triumph.
1- Bigger T20I totals against India than New Zealand's 219. West Indies' 245 for 6 in Lauderhill in August 2016 is the highest total against India. It was also New Zealand's third-highest T20I total. All their top three totals have come since the start of 2018.
95- Runs conceded by Khaleel Ahmed (48) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (47), the most conceded by a pair of India opening bowlers in a T20I. Only once have New Zealand collected more runs against opposition's opening bowlers - against West Indies in Mount Maunganuiin January 2018.
51- Runs conceded by Hardik Pandya in his four overs, his most expensive spell in T20Is and his second-most expensive in all T20s. This was the first instance of three bowlers conceding 45-plus runs in a T20I innings for India and the ninth for any team.
2-7- India's win-loss record against New Zealand - their worst against any team. They are yet to win a T20I in New Zealand in three attempts.
42- Career runs for Tim Seifert in T20Is before this match, in seven innings. He scored twice that tally in this match and was adjudged the Player of the Match. This was the first time he had opened in T20Is. He had batted five times at No. 7 or lower.
