Dom O'Brien is a wicketkeeper-batsman who was born in New South Wales but moved to Queensland, representing the state in junior cricket and winning the Youth Player-of-the-Year award in 2006-07. He was Australia's leading run-scorer on the Under-19 tour of Pakistan in 2007 and was picked in the squad for the 2008 Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia.
