Colin Amini is a right-hand batsman and offbreak bowler who hails from a cricketing family. His grandfather, Brian, and father, Charles, both captained Papua New Guinea's senior side while his brother Chris was also a PNG senior and Under-19 captain. His mother, Kune, led the PNG women's team. His younger brother, Charles, is also in the U-19 squad for the World Cup in Malaysia in 2008, of which Colin is captain.
