Profile

Chris Nash is a top-order batsman who made his Sussex debut as cover for the injured Mark Davies in 2002. It took five years from then for Nash to really break through into the first team and his best year came in 2009 when he passed 1,000 Championship runs in the season for the first time, making four centuries along the way. He repeated the feat in 2010, helping Sussex win promotion back to the top flight and winning him a place in the England Lions squad in 2011. Thereafter his season was less productive and with a clutch of youthful alternatives he will probably not play international cricket. He remains, however, an integral part of the Sussex set up.
