Maurice Coxhead was a fast bowler who captained the XI at Eastbourne and played a handful of games for Oxford and also turned out twice for Middlesex in 1911, his penultimate year at university. His best return was 5 for 53 on his debut for the university against Kent. On leaving he was immediately gazetted into the Royal Fusiliers and he served on the western front from 1915.
