Mushfiqur Rahim and Nasir Hossain struck fifties and shared an unbeaten 144-run partnership for the seventh wicket to revive a struggling Bangladeshi innings on the opening day of their three-day tour game against St Kitts & Nevis.

Bangladeshis, who kept out fast bowler Al-Amin Hossain for the 13-a-side game, had chosen to bat first. Their start, however, was shaky as Shamsur Rahman fell in the fourth over, after having added 22 off 23 balls with Tamim Iqbal. Tamim and Mominul Haque fell for scores of 20 and 10 and Imrul Kayes failed to build on his 60-ball 44, leaving the Bangladeshis at a precarious 92 for 4. The Bangladeshi top four had lost their wickets to fast bowler Quinton Boatswain and Jeremiah Lewis, who finished the day with 2 for 35 and 2 for 36 respectively.

After Mahmudullah fell for 27, allrounder Shuvagata Hom and Mushfiqur tried to steady the innings with a 48-run stand. Shuvagata was eventually run-out for 48, after which Mushfiqur and Nasir carried the innings. Mushfiqur finished the day on 82 not out off 126 balls, with five fours and three sixes, while Nasir was on 78 off 122 with six fours and two sixes.

Good to see a healthy score after such a long time. But its mainly Mushy who is i the runs. Nasir did well after so many failures. Tamim. Mominul or Shamsur are not firing. Bring Sakib back. He is much more consistent than this sorry bunch.

Bangladesh will eventually do good. It takes time sometimes after mental let down of losing so many matches. Some of the match they could have won. Mushfiq must resign to make his team better.

I have a good feeling for the next test! I think BD will act much more stable than before and we will see several centuries from BD players !!!

disappointed to see Mominul fall early! Hope he'll get three figure in test! :) Doesn't matter what will be the score but i want BD to stay there for at-least 120 overs in test!

Its Bangladesh's batting order which has been the main problem. Nasir is not actually a finisher and should be bating at 5 where he can pick up the ones and twos. He doesn't have the muscle power to go for the big shots. For test series on this tour I'll have this 11 - Tamim, Imrul, Hom, Mominul, Rahim, Nasir, Anamul, Riyad, Taijul, Robiul and Al-Amin. Anamul needs to play because its the only way to learn but since he struggles early on, he can bat later in test innings for now since it will be easier and useful. Just my thoughts.

We need play good in international matches, Not in this practise match. But , it's good to see, Mushfiq is in form, and Nasir coming back in form.

bd don't have enough match..in the previous years...they had to play with weaker team...all the time....thats why they are stuck with the strongest team....they will come come back soon ...in sa allah...

No Use. BDesh only capable to play well against these team, not against any Interntional side now a days. Before the ODI series BD scored 322 against Gayana and BD fans jumped again after that. But we know it was a 3-0 then as expected.
