India in West Indies ODI Series - 3rd ODI

West Indies v India

India won by 3 wickets (with 22 balls remaining)

1.2

MM Patel to Edwards, OUT, caught behind! Edwards nicks this to Parthiv, who takes a low catch, and there's a bit of a delay before umpire Ian Gould raises the finger. Perfect length once again just outside off, Edwards pushed forward at it, playing away from his body, sizeable edge, tame dismissal

KA Edwards c †PA Patel b MM Patel 0 (6m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

West Indies 0/1   LMP Simmons 0* (6b)   MM Patel 0.2-0-0-1

Harbhajan Singh to Simmons, OUT, Sarwan could be in big trouble here! He is, he's gone, run out! Simmons called Sarwan for a quick single after playing the ball towards short square leg. Sarwan isn't a quick runner and he was slow while setting off. The fielder from midwicket swooped on the ball, picked it up with one hand and threw it back to Parthiv. As Sarwan attempted to slide his bat, it got stuck in the ground and he dropped it. Once that happened, he had no chance. He might have been out even if he had his bat. He was looking so fluent, big blow for West Indies

RR Sarwan run out 28 (53m 38b 2x4 1x6) SR: 73.68

West Indies 65/2   LMP Simmons 36* (49b 4x4 1x6)   Harbhajan Singh 0.5-0-0-0

Mishra to Samuels, OUT, stumped! Samuels came down the pitch, trying to force the ball through midwicket. He was beaten in the flight, the ball dipped and pitched on middle, spun past the closing face of Samuels bat, and Parthiv did the rest

Mishra to Hyatt, OUT, it's all coming apart for West Indies once again. Familiar scenes. Hyatt saw one tossed up outside off, inviting the drive, and he obliged. He didn't know it was a googly and threw his bat at it, playing away from the body. The ball went off the inside edge on to his stumps. Poor shot from the debutant.

DP Hyatt b Mishra 1 (7m 5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 20.00

West Indies 74/4   LMP Simmons 43* (64b 4x4 1x6)   A Mishra 5.5-1-18-2

21.1

Mishra to Simmons, OUT, and Simmons too has fallen. The sad story gets sadder. Simmons pushed forward at a loopy legbreak, dipping on the batsman and pitching around middle and off. Simmons couldn't cover for the turn and the ball spun away, taking the edge towards Kohli at first slip

LMP Simmons c Kohli b Mishra 45 (92m 68b 4x4 1x6) SR: 66.17

West Indies 77/5   KA Pollard 1* (4b)   A Mishra 6.1-1-18-3

24.4

Harbhajan Singh to Pollard, OUT, caught behind! After an age, umpire Malcolm gives Pollard his marching orders. Pollard played back and prodded at one outside off stump, Parthiv caught it and had no doubt in his mind, or if he did, he appealed very convincingly. Pollard is disappointed and walks off very slowly. I can't tell if there was an edge or not, looking at initial replays.

KA Pollard c †PA Patel b Harbhajan Singh 6 (20m 16b 0x4 0x6) SR: 37.50

West Indies 85/6   CS Baugh 1* (9b)   Harbhajan Singh 5.4-1-13-1

29.3

MM Patel to Sammy, OUT, there was certainly an edge this time! Munaf pitched the ball short of a length around off and moved it away a touch, Sammy was squared up on the back foot and poked tentatively at it, Parthiv didn't bother with an appeal this time, started celebrating immediately after catching it. Sammy looks such a dejected figure on his walk back

West Indies 96/7   CS Baugh 7* (24b)   MM Patel 6.3-0-39-2

45.2

MM Patel to Baugh, OUT, Blake's jinxed him! Baugh tried to go over the top, aiming for the straight boundary. He was beaten by a slower ball and ended up lobbing an easy catch to cover

CS Baugh c Dhawan b MM Patel 36 (93m 73b 0x4 0x6) SR: 49.31
