Bill Becher is best remembered as the second founder of I Zingari, restoring the club through his drive, determination and charm after the Second World War. He played three times for Sussex in 1939 as a batsman, and captained Wiltshire from 1949 to 1953. He was also a member of the British Board of Boxing Control.
